I stayed at the Derg House B&B for one night in November 2015. Amelie was a wonderful and welcoming host, and her husband Xavier cooks a great breakfast (and some delicious pastries as well!). I stayed in a top floor double room, which was bright, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The location is great as well, right in the center of... More

What's not to like? Amelie & her husband run a great B&B/restaurant. It's right at the bridge which is a short walk over the Shannon River to Ballina and then back. Comfortable bed, nice en-suite. Along with the B&B they run a breakfast/lunch restaurant that has terrific food. We asked for breakfast a little early and by the time we... More

Amelie and Xavier have created a wonderful place at the Derg House. The omelets there are the best I have ever eaten and all their baked goods were so delicious. The rooms are quiet and very comfortable. We loved looking out our window and seeing the two story old stone wall that reminded us of mediaeval city walls.

I stayed at Derg House with my husband and son for one night on Saturday 12th September 2015 after a Wedding in nearby Anna Carriga Estate. The location was ideal. Right on the bridge in Killaloe near to everything. Both rooms were perfect. Very comfortable and cosy. Our landlady was lovely. She was very accommodating with regard to our check... More

We stayed here last Sat nite 29/8/15 after wedding in the Lakeside. Amazing room in the attic spotlessly clean and so comfortable. The welcome and attention from the owner was so nice including breakfast so different. Definitely going back.

Myself and two friends stayed there in June. There was parking for our motorcycles which was very important to us. The rooms were very clean as was the toilet and shower. The landlady was very pleasant to deal with. She even dried my clothes which were wet from being on the motorcycle. The breakfast was beautiful, a large selection to... More
