Best value in town. Derg House is located on a tight corner so find someplace to park other than outside! We had delicious omlette and salad for lunch . It was delicious and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend it to visitors to Killaloe. Only drawback.......no gluten free bread!!!

When visiting Killaloe you must visit the Derg house, not only do they have wonderful comfortable accommodation with views of the Shannon, they serve excellent food, the breakfast is to die for, pancakes wrapped around sausage and bacon with side serving of Maple syrup, fresh croissants and baguette baked on site by the owners. If you fancy a pastry, well... More

Just back from Killaloe where we stayed in Derg House for 2 nights. We were going to a wedding at the Lakeside Hotel. Amelie greeted us, and was warm and friendly. Our room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the coffee shop below which was delicious and there was plenty of it. We also had... More

Old house but very cosy and very helpfull owners. They even help us to print our email boarding passes. Exellent but also very big breakfast. With real french croissant. Homemade. In the center of the town with nice and clean rooms.

We didn't stay here but popped in for a bite to eat - it was a lovely quirky little place and the food was delish - all homemade. And very reasonable prices - hubby had full Irish which was massive and included handcut chips, one son had toastie with chips, I had lovely quiche with salads and other son had... More

Went into Derg House coffee shop. Although the sandwich and the tea was very nice the overall look of the place wasn't the best. The place looked very tired and needed some money spent on it. Even the waitresses clothes could have been cleaner. The toilets were also in need of decoration. The waitress was pleasant and the food was... More

Really nice house just beside the beautiful river in Killaloe. Excellent food served in the coffee shop below. The owners are warm, welcoming and easy going. Really enjoyed our stay, and would recommend Derg House.

Amelie and Xavier moved lock stock and barrel from France in September 2013 and took over the B&B that month. We had a lovely stay clean and tidy. But the absolute gem is their coffee shop where you will b served your breakfast where all food is freshly prepared. As if that is not enough Killaloe has it's very own... More

I have been staying in Derg House since 2003 and always look forward to a return visit with John and Siobhan Cassidy. It's the perfect place to unwind before my flight home as the village is small, the people friendly, and it's just calm and peaceful in Killaloe. There is nothing cheap about Derg House, it's an old building well... More
