The K Club is a very good hotel set in beautiful grounds with two golf courses. On the Thursday in mid June when we stayed there it seemed quite busy with the majority of people appearing to be business guests. Our room was nice and a decent size. Unfortunately there is major building work going on and our room was... More

Friendly welcome as we were helped from car with bags to room. Although the hotel has a huge and beautiful character, the rooms were dated, lacking key mod-cons. For example, the room had no air conditioning and reached temps of over 25'C during the evening, even with the window open. There was no in room fridge and wafer thin walls,... More

We made a quick stop to this hotel for a stay over on our way to Dublin. It sits on beautiful grounds with an amazing golf course. The room was spacious and nicely appointed. The price for the room was very reasonable for the level of accommodations. The room service and restaurant pricing seemed rather high in comparison. Our room... More

This is an old manor converted into a hotel. It's not a "castle" by local terms, but it would suffice for the American definition. We stayed in July, it is not air conditioned, but ask for a fan if opening the windows or patio doors to your room isn't enough to bring in the cooler air, which is usually available... More

K Club is an outstanding experience, we spent there four days celebrating my 65 ? Hotel rooms, services and food are excellent. Palmer Golf course is spectacular, The Smurffit golf course as well. And the Pro Shop has everything you may need. Robert Hannon , the golf operation manager, is a very kind person, he gave us excellent services .... More

We stayed two nights at the K Club and enjoyed two rounds of golf. The staff are extremely helpful and the property and grounds are beautiful. The hotel is being almost doubled in size (beware the building work - ask for a quiet room!) and needs a bit of a facelift. The swimming pool and spa area are pretty basic... More

The K Club was heavily invested in when they hosted the Ryder Cup in 2004, unfortunately they appear to not have spent much soon. It is a beautiful house in a magical location, peaceful and serene with old school charm. However, it is really beginning to show its age especially in the fixtures and fittings. Service is enchanting but the... More

We stayed here last year and had a really relaxing weekend. Nice grounds around the hotel, had a lovely porter who brought us up to our room and chatted away. Spa was very disappointing. Definitely not what you'd expect of a 5 star hotel- the gym looks out on to the pool, there's a hot tub outside and saunas in... More

Rooms were very good. Food excellent but expensive. I stayed with three golfers who went to play golf on both days that we stayed. I was looking forward to a swim before breakfast and use of the leisure facilities. on arrival at the pool no staff could be found, the sauna was not even turned on and the entire area was... More

Fabulous location to spoil yourself. The staff in both the hotel and the clubhouse couldn't be more helpful. Food in the clubhouse was great and as was the beer downstairs while watching football on one of the many screens. Set in a secluded location, it's a great place to spoil yourself.
