We have never stayed in a place like this, we found it in the Ireland Blue Book. We were looking for a place to stay for a night before our flight out of Dublin this next night. WOW, we loved it. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were amazing, and the staff was excellent. Highly recommend.

We did a family vacation in Ireland, each night at a different B&B or Hotel. I have chose this hotel, since it was not far from Dublin and part or our route and we wanted to experience a night in a castle also. It is indeed a great place. The 2 rooms were big and comfortable and we loved it.... More

We got married here on 1st August 2014... Every single visit to Barberstown & encounter with their staff from simply considering it as a venue and then enjoying our post wedding breakfast was fantastic. We could not recommend this hotel highly enough... The venue itself, the quality of the rooms, beds, food and level of service from their staff was... More

Was at a wedding here recently and totally fell in love with this place. Upon arrival the staff were so friendly and helpful remembering which room was ours for our whole stay. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable - such a powerful shower and comfortable beds. The views and grounds around the castle were breathtaking. The food in the... More

This was the last stop in The Republic of Ireland for our family of 11 including 5 brothers, their wives and the boys' mother, who was turning 90. We were finishing the trip of a lifetime and our final overnight stay was to be at Baberstown Castle. We had had a lovely trip arranged impeccably by Moloney and Kelly Travel,... More

I got married here in May 2012 and there is honestly not one negative thing I can say about Barberstown ,the venue, the quality of food, the rooms, the staff, everything was THE BEST. I live abroad so having that assurance that everything I was requesting, the numerous requests I'm sure I put in, were all attended to so professionally... More

Irish people were always hospitable. But living in a 16th century castle with all the modern facilities is a charm. Large rooms, king size beds, very quite (only 55 rooms in two buildings) and unbelievable romantic. Sitting by the fire with live music shows in the background with nothing but my gal at my side and a cup of Irish... More

We enjoyed a family get together with my sisters last night in barberstown castle. Staff were friendly and efficient. Even though it's a castle, there's a very relaxed homely feel. Rooms and beds were beautiful and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast. I particularly recommend delicious pate starter and decadent summer fruits meringue. This morning's breakfast was very nicely cooked... More

Just spent a weekend at Barberstown castle for my daughters wedding on Sat Aug 23rd. from the offset the staff were obliging, pleasant and so hard working. the food was amazing and the service faultless. great rooms with every comfort. one small negative was that twice in the tearooms we asked for toast for a 1 year old and were...
