Myself and my husband stayed in Barberstown Castle as we were attending a friends wedding. The welcome at reception was friendly and we were shown to our beautiful room on the ground floor. The grounds of the hotel are very well maintained and we were fascinated by the robot lawn mowers constantly maintaining the lawns around the hotel, busy and... More

spent one night D,B&B, 8 of us in total. Had a wonderful time, the place was shining, food wonderful, even the weather behaved! Staff all very courteous and helpful where needed. Dinner was excellent, and we all enjoyed the night very much. Four poster beds very comfortable and rooms spacious, bathrooms complete with all one would need, and more!. Highly... More

We just visited Barberstown for dinner a few nights ago to celebrate our eldests 21st. Lovely night with great food and wine and the taxi home. With a good selection of ages present, parents in their late 70's to the young men in their late teens everyone was well satisfied. Piano playing as we choose from the menu, a nice... More

Stopped off for a spot of lunch in the tea rooms, I had the beef sandwich & my partner had the crab and salmon salad. Both were excellent & the service was efficient and friendly. The tea rooms could do with a bit of an update and the plants were very dusty. Liked the place a lot and the gardens... More

Recently my husband and I spent a night at Barberstown Castle and really enjoyed it. We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist and checked in to a lovely big room with a four poster bed. We had a delicious dinner in the dining-room where staff were discreet yet attentive. In fact the meal was so delicious we couldn't eat the... More

I recently stayed here with my boyfriend for 1 night and we attended a friend's wedding. The hotel itself was lovely and the reception room for the wedding was gorgeous....very vintage and rustic. The wedding reception is located in a different building to the hotel so you have to walk outside to get to it. The service was very good... More

We went for afternoon tea in the tea rooms. The sandwiches were dry and completely lacklustre, the bread was far too thick for the minimal filling, but the scones and pastries were lovely. An additional pot of tea cost €7.50 which in my opinion is scandalous. There was also no staff in the tea rooms; the receptionist called a waitress... More

Spent one night here prior to flying home from Dublin airport and you could not wish for a better place for a night’s pampering before returning to home and work! We arrived in the afternoon and enjoyed tea and scones in our room which was spacious and comfortable, although Irish hotels don’t seem to do in for cushions very much... More

Stayed here in April for one night with my partner and we were so disappointed with everything, our room, facilities, staff, food etc. I expected so much more for the 200plus euros we paid for our room. Staff were unfriendly, not interested in listening to what you had to say, more interested in getting you out more like. Breakfast was... More

Stayed for one night recently and my overall experience was poor. Room was okay, clean and tidy etc but there was no tea / coffee facilities and my girlfriend had to ask for a shower cap as one was not provided. Considering it was a premier room I'd hate to see what a standard room was like! Upon arrival it... More
