We visited here in Dec 2014. The reception staff were nice. The Deluxe Room was Stunning! The hotel is nice but really Isn't much to it. No proper lounge area. The Tea area is empty, chilly and Abandoned. We had Read so much about this apparent fantastic restaurant, we were looking forward to dinner all week! The menu selection wasn't... More

We won a night in barberstown a few months ago and I'm so glad we did as it's probably somewhere we never would have visited as it's so close to Dublin. But it's the perfect place to get away from the city for a night. We loved it from the moment we arrived, the reception staff are so nice and... More

We visited Barberstown Castle on 30 Nov for 1 night. I did not notice that there was no dining room service available on Sunday until after I booked. The Tea Tooms was very busy with Sunday lunch when we arrived and there was no other place to sit except your bedroom. They offered to light a fire in the bar... More

The experience was a very pleasant one from check-in to departure and the rooms were extremely comfortable. Would definitely go back for a stay and use the facilities as we spent too little time in the hotel. On departure we were given a voucher to compensate for the noisy wedding, which we didn't hear, the night before. All very proactive.

Don't have bad thing to say about this place. Food first class, tea room cosy and warm. Staff helpful and the history of this place was interesting. We will definitely be back one day!! I was told by a taxi driver that it used to be Eric Claptons house.

We stayed here for a wedding recently. The function room for the wedding was gorgeous and the place looked fantastic when we came in first. There are lovely gardens for photos etc and as the day was fine we were drinking champagne in the garden. We had a beautiful meal and the service we very good. We decided to stay,... More

I booked this for my wife's birthday and because we were doing an adventure race nearby the next day. I thought it would be a nice treat and therefore booked a suite in the hotel which don't come cheap. The first disappointment was the reception staff. I was obviously not their normal class of clientele as I was not so... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here last Saturday night. The reception staff were really lovely and welcoming. Our room was huge, very clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant for dinner. The food was fabulous, very tasty. Service was a little slow and the waitress apologised to us for this. We also had tea in the bar while listening... More

We have never stayed in a place like this, we found it in the Ireland Blue Book. We were looking for a place to stay for a night before our flight out of Dublin this next night. WOW, we loved it. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were amazing, and the staff was excellent. Highly recommend.

We did a family vacation in Ireland, each night at a different B&B or Hotel. I have chose this hotel, since it was not far from Dublin and part or our route and we wanted to experience a night in a castle also. It is indeed a great place. The 2 rooms were big and comfortable and we loved it.... More
