I recently spent a long weekend in Oaklands B&B and I couldn't have found a more welcoming and accommodating host in Majella or a more comfortable and easily accessible B&B. We were made right at home, given a delicious breakfast in the mornings and only a 5 minute walk from the town center. I will definitely be going back!

I was part of a group of five friends who stayed in Oaklands for 3 nights recently. Majella the host is amazing. She was very nice and helpful, she made us feel right at home. On the first morning, we had to be gone at 7.15 and Majella had no probelm in serving a full breakfast to us at 6.45.... More

Spent a lovely three nights here over the weekend, and couldn't have felt more at home! The house was cosy and comfortable, and we were made to feel so welcome by Majella, our host. We had a delicious breakfast spread each morning despite the early 7am starts and were able to relax there in the evening in comfort. The fact... More

The best 'home away from home' I found during my travels in Ireland. Superb hospitality. Friendly and treat you like family!!!! Go the extra mile to ensure all guests are well taken care of and happy. Great company and conversation. Would advise anyone in the area looking for a home not just a place to stay to make sure they... More

We spent 5 nights at Oaklands and could not have been more pleased. Nice, clean room with comfy bed and good shower. Great location - close enough to walk to town but easy to get out for day trips. The best part of staying at Oaklands, though, is the hosts. Majella and Martin treated us like family. We had the... More

My experience at the Oakland's B&B was a very memorable one. Majella and Martin are very welcoming hosts and you can tell that they really enjoy running the business; it's not just a job to them. I really liked that their home is just outside of town. Close enough to walk yet far enough that it is a quiet street... More

We were welcomed by Martin as we pulled into the drive to park. He was shouting something at us that was quite confusing, "County Clare!" Football playoffs were going on and thought we were from Limerick because of our rental's license plate. We headed inside, where Majella checked us into our rooms. The rooms were spacious and clean. After relaxing... More

Really great value to stay in Letterkenny. Majella welcomed us with tea and cake and was really kind to us. She gave us nice tips to have diner in town. The room is nice and really cheap for what it is, especially if you compare it to other B and B in the country. Good breakfast as well and a... More

Gt week. Magelhas the giftt of hitting the right balance between being welcoming and giving you space. The use of the fridge, microwave etc in residents kitchen was perfect for me. Very, very reasonable price. I did miss the usual tea making facilities in the bedroom though the kitchen was nearby.

Hi Carol, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay and we greatly appreciate your feedback regarding tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We had removed tea and coffee making facilities as we always offer complimentary tea or coffee upon arrival but are taking your very vital feedback on board moving forward. Thank you More

We arrived quite late in the evening and the owner Majella immediately brought us tea and biscuits; we felt at home from the start. Very friendly and welcoming throughout our few days stay. Clean and comfortable; the bedrooms are lovely and my bedroom was a single, en-suite with fresh towels. Full Irish breakfast was great but many alternatives if you... More
