We stayed in Leixlip House Hotel at the end of April for my sister's wedding. Most of the guests were staying overnight in the hotel. The wedding was wonderful and the staff were very nice. The hotel doesn't have any grounds to speak of, but if you need to take photos you can make the short walk to a sister... more

I walked in to the Leixlip House, very tired, looking for a room. I found not only a room, but a wonderful "secret" outside of Dublin. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was on par with many manor houses and castles that I've stayed in recently. The amenities (robe, slippers, free internet, etc.) were classic. White duvets,... more

I stayed at this hotel for only one night while I was in the area on a business trip. The room I had was absolutely fabulous! It was filled with individual pieces of furniture and antiques which complimented the huge windows and high ceiling perfectly. It was so far removed from the normal sterile multi national hotel chains which I... more

I guess it depends what your expectations are of a place to stay. My preference is usually for modern hotels however after reading the reviews thought this would be a nice place to stay for 1 night on my way to Cork. I don't mind hotels that are older with a bit of charater but this place felt more on... more

This hotel is a well kept secret , a small atmospheric, converted "Big" house. We attended a wedding there and had a brilliant experience. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was one of the best wedding meals I have had in a long time. Rooms were larger and comfortable. more

We stayed here for two nights on a 'gourmet weekend' package - which the hotel kindly let us have even though it wasn't the weekend! This meant that we had a bottle of champagne on arrival, dinner on one night, vouchers for a bar meal/afternoon tea/lunch for the other day, a deluxe room, breakfast and two bottles of wine on... more

I had my wedding at this hotel and I could not find any fault. We came across this hotel after a day of looking at different wedding venues. When we both entered this hotel, we both felt this was the ideal location. The hotel is small, ie, about 20 rooms. I think it's an old house converted into a hotel.... more
