Was exactly as the web site said. Lovely quite country location within easy reach of everywhere. Cottage was very clean & bright. Very well equipped & when we requested more towels they were very quickly supplied. We enjoyed watching the cows in the field behind. Would love the visit again, & the open fire was lovely if the evening got... More

Having spent a couple of days in these cottages I have to admit it was like a piece of heaven...the houses are set outside the village of Ballyvaughan in a beautiful coastal location. The houses are of a very high standard..with all mod cons. The area is quiet, relaxing and very private...I will be back again in the near future

I stayed once again at Ray's country cottages this time at chiristmas and I could only describe it as magical!. Ray thoughtfully had a fire lighting and the cottage looked like something out of a childhood fairy tale. Our beds and mattresses were very comfortable and we slept sound while the wind howled. I am a very recycle conscious person... More

We spent two weeks in one of the cottages. Everything was perfect. Clean, with all necessary equipments, very quiet. Some little things could be improved. TV: there are only english and irish channels; some french, german, italian and other channels would be appreciated, especially by children who do not understand english. Garbage management: it does not seem that Ray sorts... More

My husband, son and I stayed in Cottage 4 in early July and were quite pleased with it. The Burren is a positively magical place with tremendous natural beauty, and the cottage was located right in the middle of it. We had a beautiful view of the bay in the distance out of the front of the cottage, and a... More

We initially booked rays cottages for two nights but the minute we got there we decided to stay for two weeks! The house had everything we could have asked for and if we needed anything accommodating Ray Quinn(proprietor) would have got it to make our stay more pleasant. The area is one of the most beautiful places we have ever... More

My daughter and I stayed in Cottage #3 for a week in July, 2011. I was more than impressed with this beautiful and clean, 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, kitchen/breakfast room and den cottage. Its the closest of the cottages to the water which is only a minutes walk. You have your own private yard (which is perfect for... More

we stayed at Rays country Cottages Bishops Quarters County Clare during May 2011. We originally only wanted to stay in Ballyvuaghan only for the hiking but when we got there we found a lot more. Firstly we were greeted by Mr. Quinn the cottage was very clean and well equipped, it was very homely and it was difficult to leave... More

Comfy, relaxing place to stay, well suited to a large family or group of friends. We stayed here for approximately 70E/night...that was for three consecutive nights, midweek, in the "shoulder season"...but we felt it was a great value for the accommodations provided. 3BR, two-story house, easily sleeps 6+, with full kitchen, laundry, a cow pasture out back, and a few... We rented a car in Dublin and drove about 3.5 hours to Ballyvaughn. It normally wouldn't take that long, but we were driving the last hour or so at night and the small roads had a lot of curves. The cottage is off of the main road either to the left or the right about 2km before Ballyvaughn (coming from... More
