I stayed with a friend, in Cappabhaile House for three nights and could not have been more pleased with the room, the ambiance, the food and most of all Conor and Margaret's hospitality. Each morning, Conor would help us chart our explorations which was very helpful and he had resources and advice galore. His own background from living in the... More

We arrived here late (8pm) and Collin was very nice and understanding. He told us he would share some excellent tips of the Burren with us. And he did!! We discovered a wonderful hike to see a fort that wasn't on the map and we also found an abbey that did not have a single person there. We were also... More

We only stayed one night but I’d love to return to the Burren and I would stay here again. The location is very convenient to the Ailwee Caves/Birds of Prey, close to the Poulnabrane Portal Dolmen and scenic stopping areas in the Burren. It is also very close to Ballyvaughan and a selection of good restaurants and pubs. We were... More

We were delighted with our stay here, the location was wonderful for exploring the Burren, our room was lovely, with a nice modern bathroom, and the surroundings were beautiful. Our hosts were great, friendly and full of good suggestions about where to go and where to eat. Breakfast was delicious, with cooked-to-order omelettes, breads and jams, etc. We had the... More

There is at least one nice family room (for four) with en suite - spacious. The hosts lent us a book about local attractions and were able to accommodate our children's breakfast wishes. Big breakfasts!

Conor and Margaret run a lovely guesthouse - large rooms, large bathrooms with bathtubs, views of the Burren, 1 storey building with good insulation, ie modern building techniques and with a cozy feel, warm beds and comfy mattresses. This is more like staying in a 5 star hotel than in a bed and breakfast. The rooms are lovely, big tea... More

Among the best I have stayed in. More like a spacious luxury hotel - large room, fresh and clean, large open spaces -- and well situated to explore The Burren. Conor provided me with books on the area to read, and then sat down at breakfast and mapped out a day's route to cover the high spots. He has a... More

We stayed here on a self drive around the U.K. and were very impressed. It is in a lovely part of Ireland. It is a great B and B. Although it is on a main road it is very quiet and peaceful. We were in a back room which backed onto a farm so we had a great view. Conor... More

Though the room was very nice and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious - the best part of Cappabhaile House has to be Conor and his thorough knowledge of the area. He mapped out a full day itinerary for us that allowed us to explore both the unusual natural beauty of the Burren as well as it's architecture and history.... More

We stayed at Cappabhaile House for three nights this September and it was wonderful. Conor, the host, was a wealth of knowledge about Irish history, geography, and things to do in the local area. He could not have made us feel more welcome. The breakfast each day was fantastic, good fresh food in generous quantities. The room was well appointed... More
