My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hylands Burren Hotel for 2 nights over New Year 2016. The staff were generally helpful throughout our stay. Sadly, on one occasion the receptionist had a personal phone call while we were standing waiting at reception for about 5-10 minutes. This stuck in the memory but was not a reflection on the general... More

This was a planned stop with Barrett Tours for lunch after touring the Burren all morning. Food was delicious and service efficient. Try the soup! We kept moving but I took a card as I'd stay in the hotel as it was charming. The town of Ballyvaughn is very nice to walk through and just north the drive along Galway... More

I operate Browns Taxi & Tours and during one of my visits to the Burren during the year I brought my party to Hylands Hotel for lunch. The staff were efficient and friendly, the menu had a great choice something for everyone. I had the Chowder which was outstanding, for any of you chowder "hounds" out there this was knife... More

Have not been here for 10 years but I was very impressed with the upgrade that the new owners (A local family) have done. The rooms are really comfortable and spacious. We visited on a winters night midweek, it was lashing rain outside but there was at least a couple of fires on. We had some very good food and... More

My best friend and I originally were going to stay at the B&B called Loughrask Lodge but it turned out she had double booked her rooms and had to make arrangements for us to stay here. We were upset because we were tired, it was late, it was super windy& cold, and we didn't do any research on this hotel... More

At the risk of appearing unable to give a bad review, i find myself compelled to publish a little piece on our stop over at the Hylands Burren Hotel while on a motorcycle tour of the Co Clare leg of the Wild Atlantic Way with a couple of friends. After soaking up the grey and beautiful cloud and rock filled... More

Stayed here for one night in July,a Sunday.I was presented with a room at the front of the house over the front bar, single beds.A big clean en suite in the room was well presented but there was major problems with flushing the toilet...it overflows when the handle sticks. Down in the bar/restaurant the staff where very slow to react with... More

Reviewing this Hotel took sometime as I booked it as viewed on their Web site. All looks nice and comfortable but there are elements not shown that prompts me to write this review. Firstly the room was large, sheets, towels and room clean but the bed for me was too hard. The bathroom had mildew on the grout around some... More

Stayed in this hotel for one night. Beautiful place. Food amazing - evening meal and breakfast! Room great - good size family room, well equipped although TV was very poor! Turf fires in reception and bar areas were lovely and inviting and cosy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. Just need excuse to go back!
