Just had an overnight stay in this lovely friendly hotel which is ideally situated in the Burren and close to some lovely beaches. The staff were all professional and very welcoming and the food was quite good. The bar was very cosy and we were lucky enough to enjoy an Irish trad session on the night we were there. We... More

The Hylands Burren Hotel is situated in the beautiful village of Ballyvaughan. The hotel is comfortable and clean. The bedrooms could do with a bit of a makeover to make the most of this lovely sized hotel. The food is excellent - Do go there hungry! The staff are fantastic and such a credit to the hotel. But I really... More

Lovely welcoming hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bedroom was bright, quite and spacious. Bathroom could do with a little revamp but this would be my only negitive thing. It it big, clean and plenty of piping hot water for that bath after a long day travelling or hiking. Both dinner and breakfast were well presented, tasty and statisfying. Recommend... More

This hotel is old but quaint. The bathrooms could definitely do with refurbishing, but was nice and comfortable. The food was great as was the ambience of the bar. The room was cold and I couldn't get the heating working, 2 calls down to reception and still no heating, I ended up getting into bed to get warm, a bit... More

Staying at this hotel is reflecting on the past years of wonderful service and charming old world grace. A highly recommend stop on the way to the Burren Co. Clare. Service, food, atmosphere , beyond great. Thanks Christina and staff for a lovely visit.

Stayed as part of a small group, Dinner, B & B. for Midweek Break. Comfortable Rooms, Friendly Management & Staff, Tasty Filling Breakfasts & Pub Menu Dinners which were well presented, tasty and hearty! Definitely worth a revisit - with coastal & inland scenery which is stunning. Brilliant for a refreshing break!

There has to be a reason why this hotel is not best in its class in the area. Perhaps it is the relatively short season for high occupancy but its charm, location and, for the most part, very welcoming and pleasant staff, is let down by series of small oversights that could be remedied by closer management attention. We had... More

This was our second time staying at this small hotel. The first time was 25 years ago! This is a very, very nice smaller hotel. The rooms were very roomy and clean and the bathrooms were all updated. The hotel has a cozy feel about it. I am sure in cooler weather the fire places would make it even more... More

We enjoyed another return two-night visit to Hyland's, a long-established hotel well located in the centre of Ballyvaughan and a good base for touring the northern Burren. Room size varies. This time, we had a large one in the 'new' wing. Furniture and toiletries were adequate if unexciting. Only a few TV channels were available. The breakfast buffet was rather... More

we stayed one night here in a very spacious family room. staff are all very friendly and helpful, they have a great knowledge of the area. breakfast was delicious, we helped ourselves to cereal, juices, croissants then had a great selection of cooked breakfasts. our only complaint was that there was a disco in the premises next door, directly under...
