This was our second time staying at this small hotel. The first time was 25 years ago! This is a very, very nice smaller hotel. The rooms were very roomy and clean and the bathrooms were all updated. The hotel has a cozy feel about it. I am sure in cooler weather the fire places would make it even more... More

We enjoyed another return two-night visit to Hyland's, a long-established hotel well located in the centre of Ballyvaughan and a good base for touring the northern Burren. Room size varies. This time, we had a large one in the 'new' wing. Furniture and toiletries were adequate if unexciting. Only a few TV channels were available. The breakfast buffet was rather... More

we stayed one night here in a very spacious family room. staff are all very friendly and helpful, they have a great knowledge of the area. breakfast was delicious, we helped ourselves to cereal, juices, croissants then had a great selection of cooked breakfasts. our only complaint was that there was a disco in the premises next door, directly under... If you are planning a walking holiday or a visit to the Burren, then this is the perfect location. The staff were really friendly and helpful, having a great knowledge of the area they work in. The food was fabulous. All 20 of us booked in for dinner on our first night. It was promptly served and tasted really good.... More

We spent one night at Hylands Burren Hotel. Hotel was clean and room was comfortable and value for money except the hot water ran out before we were able to have our morning shower. We were able to return to our room after breakfast when the hot water was restored. Traditional breakfast was included, although we had a bit of... More

We stayed 3 nights at Hylands Burren hotel. A lovely hotel. Bar food was good , traditional irish music sat & sun night. Breakfast cooked to order with good coices. Bedroom was good size but very warm. Staff in hotel very friendly & helpful.

While touring around Galway and Clare we stayed for two nights in Hyland's. It was a very pleasant experience. It is a three star unpretentious property with high standards. The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was quite large with shower stall rather than a bath/shower. We had a difficulty with the shower on... More

Compelled to write a review of this hotel, we rarely resort to doing this due to time restrictions and busy schedules, but in this instance, we feel it would be a complete shame not to. Hylands Burren Hotel is magnificent. From the moment we entered the hotel to check for vacancies right through to the checking out, the staff were... More

Stopped on way to next stop in Clifden. Rooms were large with a twin and a double. Place was well kept and clean. Food was fair but staff very nice and helpful. Had own car park also. Breakfast was traditional Irish breakfast that came with room.
