Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, it's in a small village/town of Oranmore that is about 15 mins outside of Galway. Getting into Galway is pretty quick, and with exception to the morning rush hour. We stayed at this location as a point for our day trips to the Aran Islands and Cliffs of Moher. Hotel was similar to... More

This is a nice friendly hotel just a few minutes from Galway city. Not a bad idea to stay just outside the city while still convenient. Basic hotel cheap and cheerful. If you don't want to eat in the hotel, there are actually a number of good restaurants / pubs beside it.

The location is a little out of town - not exactly in Galway, but on the fringes. The hotel has plenty of car parking (free) and is easy to find, as it is just off the main road. The room was quite spacious and were well appointed - and came with a balcony which overlooked the water. The bed and... More

We booked the hotel on coupons from the internet, we have stayed in Galway city lots of times so Oranmore was a nice change on the outskirts of the city, the hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff are very attentive and very friendly, and most of all very helpful re; local bus, train, and taxi services, the breakfast was very... We booked into the Oyster for the one night knowing it was just going to be bed & breakfast and away again the next morning. To that end it suited perfectly. It was great value. The rooms were clean and well appointed and the staff very friendly and helpful. The only meal we had there was breakfast which turned out... More

Stayed in September as a part of a tour. Not in Galway, about a 20 euro cab fare. Worth going to though if you don't want to stay in the city. Oranmore has some beautiful scenery. Nicely decorated. Room clean and presentable, comfy bed, laundry facilities (15 euro a bag). Wifi only available in lobby. Had a great bathroom, lighting... More

The hotel staff were beyond nice. They were helpful and funny, no doubt make the hotel. The location is crappy however its a €20 cab ride from Galway, too far. Everything in our room was broken as well, which was too bad. Food wasn't great either. Free wifi in the lobby though!

Stayed here while passing through Galway. When we checked in we found that our reservation for a third party site hadn't been emailed to the hotel however the receptionist was very accommodating and helpful and checked us in within a few minutes. The room was basic but clean. We ate in the restraunt that night which was lovely a wide... More

Very good simple hotel with excellent low prices Used to be Ramada but changed to independent. Cooked breakfast on slower days buffet on busy Bus tours trip days. Rooms basic but clean tidy modern. Not for you if you want to be in Galway but if flexible ok
