''Would you like a tea or coffee?'' asked Mike who runs the b&b with his wife Ann, when we arrived. We had travelled from Dublin so we said ''Yes please.'' Ten minutes later Mike arrived with pots of tea and coffee plus home made scones, butter and jam. We had a chat about our plans, he advised us that the... more

Comfort, convenience, cleanliness, congeniality, and a wonderful food -- this is the place. Michael and Ann O'Neill have set a goal to be the outstanding B and B in Ireland, and in my opinion have met their goal. The rooms are lovely, the grounds are beautiful, and their company is engaging and delightful. Their home was constructed as a B... more

On our recent trip to Ireland we "lucked out" with our three day stay at Oranhill Lodge in Oranmore, Cy. Galway, with Michael and Ann O'Neill and their three girls. Ann and Michael have succeeded in building a beautiful, comfortable and hospitable environment for their guests. Their interest in our daily activities provided us with helpful hints and explicit travel... more

When my cousin & I arrived at the door of Oranhill Lodge, we were exhausted and clumsy with jet lag. Boy, did we come to the right place to recover! The luxurious beds, the quiet neighborhood and the heavenly water pressure in the shower made us feel like rock stars. I won't wax on about the clean rooms or gorgeous... more

We visited seven B&Bs during our stay in Ireland. This was the best, for the following reasons: - Friendly, welcoming, helpful hosts, in a family atmosphere - Very comfortable beds, even with my back problem - Excellent hot pressure showers - Food was of high quality and variety - Rooms were modern and clean - Location was great for us.... more

We had the benefit of my sisters recommendation, who had stayed with the O'Neills and raved about the hospitality. So we reserved with them for our first two nights in Ireland. Being our first time in Ireland, and toting two teenagers, and taking the redeye from JFK, seeing the Cliffs of Moher, etc... we arrived with little sleep in 30... more

When I first read in the Tripadvisor reviews about how friendly and charming the O'Neills are, I must admit I rolled my eyes and thought to myself "oh great, that's all we need: cheery, talkative hosts first thing in the morning..." Of course I can hardly recall these feelings anymore, now that I too have fallen under the O'Neill spell!... more

Absolutely fantastic, we were treated like family, and our son (3 years) was treated like a prince. The owners were so friendly and helpful, we arrived late at night and were greeted at the door by a friendly face. We slept in comfy, clean beds, in airy clean spacious rooms, with clean new bathrooms. We woke to full Irish breakfasts... more

This was one of several guest houses my wife and I stayed at during our tour of Southern Ireland. The hosts, Ann and Michael were charming, most helpful and obliging and their breakfast was quality, quantity and variety, supurb! The general accomodation was very good but we found the en-suite small and there was no carpet in the bedroom which made... more
