We stayed here for two nights with Shearing. First night was truly awful. Food abysmal, service amateur, room no better than a £12 B+B in Blackpool and that is being unfair to Blackpool. This is not a lodge. It sits writhing a housing estate and the rear bedrooms look out over a rubbish tip. We complained and the service and... More

Food terrible combined with poor staff, got 2 starters which were cold and tasteless. Mains were just a bad, Fish and chips cold and greasy, steak sandwich not much better, have eaten here before and never had a problem, things have really slipped,

This hotel was tops! Rooms were comfy and clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. Morning breakfast was delicious and wait staff also very helpful. After a long drive it was nice to be able to book online and not have any mistakes in our reservation.

This old hotel which once was a family home was comfortable and probably the best European owned hotels we have stayed. We checked in very late and enjoyed a pint or two in the on site pub. Then in the morning had the best breakfast on our holiday to this date. The pudding was delicious and our first time trying.... More

I enjoyed my stay here . The only thing that I can fault is that my room window was beside the service gate and trucks etc started to arrive unload from 6 am every morning , which awoke me quite early (but was asleep again shortly after) , the rooms are slightly dated but are generally clean and comfortable .

When I booked the I was informed that I would get a executive room when I arrived I received a single room as I was alone and had to work that night I did not bother going back to reception. At check in I asked for a room call for 11 pm as I had to be in work for... More

Having stayed here on a family break before the kids go back to school, we really enjoyed our time here in this beautiful quaint hotel. We booked a family room which had plenty of space in it for the 4 of us as well as having wifi which kept our 2 boys occupied. Lovely comfy beds and quiet rooms too!... More

We stayed here from 7-9 August for a sailing event on Galway Bay. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and very comfortable and the food was brilliant! We will definitely stay here again! Great base from which to explore the local area and less than 1km into the centre of the village. Great to have... More

I stayed here for 2 nights during Galway Festival week. Price (including 2 breakfasts + 1 evening meal) was very reasonable considering hotels around Galway area usually well booked for this week). Reservation was made as part of a large group booking so individual booking price may well be higher. Our room was spotless and had two large comfortable double... More

This is a cute and historic hotel. The rooms were quiet, clean and a nice size. We had a great, but expensive, dinner in their restaurant. Each night we were there, the bar was pretty busy in the evening, which was good because there wasn't a lot to do within walking distance. It's definitely a sleepy location. The WiFi was... More
