This is a great location for a pre theatre meal if you are visiting the Bord Gais Theatre. When we visited last Saturday we were shown our table immediately. Our waitress was most attentive and welcoming. Our meal was served without delay and was well presented and tasted beautiful. Make sure you make a reservation as it always busy.

We used the Maldron as home base for three days in Galway and the West, and found it a good choice. The location is great - if you have a car. Easy access to Galway City and to all the sights in the area. The hotel is a bit older, and a bit confusing as to layout, but the rooms... More

The hotel is located 15 mins from the Galway City Center by car. We have stayed here in a number of occasions as it is easy to access/child friendly and within our expected price range and we also plan to stay here again on future trips to Galway. The hotel is very child friendly and the swimming pool is great... More

Stayed for Easter Weekend 2015, two adults and three children. Building is quite tired inside and outside, the family room is fairly basic and there is no air conditioning. The room was very warm, we had to leave the window open and listen to the conversations among the smokers standing outside the from of the hotel. Bar had "music" each... More

I went to this Hotel for a 2 night break on Monday 30th March. On arrival the hotel looks beautiful outside and inside and we got a lovely welcoming from Ruth on reception. Our room was a lovely large family room, very spacious comfortable and clean. The swimming pool was a really good size and had the bonus of a... More

We're two friends for many years who try and get together a couple of times a year. Galway is roughly half way between us both and the Maldron is ideally situated for us to reconnect for an evening. This time we enjoyed a wonderful massage with Angela, an excellent dinner, served by a particularly friendly and charming waitress and a... More

Price (5/5): for 4 nights family room and to pay about 70€ a night (in a holiday season) was a great price 2. Room (4/5): clean , warm , nice, but could do with more space (for 2 adults and... More

I just wanted to say thank you to your lovely staff who helped out with our toddler being sick on the early morning of the morning of 31st March. We were due to check out this morning but left the hotel yesterday as she was feeling very miserable and to be honest there's no place like home when anyone is... More
