In the fall 2013 my wife and I toured Ireland for 5 weeks by bus (Bus Eireann). No driving for us on the “wrong” side of the street! We chose lodging based primarily on 1) Location : close walking distance to center of town 2) TripAdvisor evaluations 3) cost (value). We stayed primarily in B & B’s. Brae house met... More

Thank you Nora for a fantastic stay. You made us welcome and feel like part of the family. Such a great location on the main road and so close to Nancy's Restaurant. The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was just delicious. It was a great thank you Nora.

Very cosy place that feels like home. Clean and neat. Perfect location - right in the centre of Ardara. Nora is such a lovely and helpful person. You should definitely stay there if you are in that part of Donegal. Ardara is a great little town. Amazing scenery on your doorstep. Don't forget to go to The Corner House for... More

One of the other reviews is titled "Nora looks after you like Mom", and it is true! She is full of good advice about Ardara, the rest of Ireland, and even life! Very funny, and you suspect she would be willing to scold anyone in town that gives any of her guests trouble! The room was clean and comfortable and... More

Nora's advice have been the best ever: she happened to be a brilliant meteorologist, and convinced us to stay one more night at Brae House to enjoy more of the local landscape. And we did ! Located in the center of Ardara, very close to all pubs and restaurants in the town. Just listen to Nora and let her be... More

Ardara is a welcome stop, a lovely village. Do stop at Nora's Brae House B&B, it's small, comfortable, reasonable, easy parking and Nora looks after you like your own Mom. There's many good restaurants, pubs, Donegal tweed and craft shops within a 3 to 4 block walk. No need to stay in a big town. Everything is nearby, lovely hikes,... More

Read one adverse contribution abt Brae House - can't understand their problem. We spent 2 nights there and enjoyed the experience. Our room was clean and comfortable, even had an array of novels for insomniacs! One day we had an early start and had a light breakfast, but there was enough on offer to satisfy anyone. Next day we had... More

The room was spacious, clean, and charming with everything we needed. Nora explained the local pubs, the tweed merchants, the lovely natural attractions, and her directions were clear and cheerful. She talked with us, not at us. The bed was comfortable with plenty of covers. We had a great filling and tasty breakfast. The in-town advantages were brilliant as the... More

Nora was extremely kind and helpful in talking with us to make sure we had a room we wanted (since our family is traveling together), and plenty of good suggestions. It is very close to everything that is going on in town, which was very nice to have something conveniently located to all that was going on. . A warm... More
