Went to rathmullan house for bar food recently. We had heard many good reports of rathmull an house and the food. We arrived in a near empty bar and were told we would have to wait while the waiter checked to see if it was ok for us to eat as we weren't residents. We were told we could stay,... More

We stayed April 4-11 and I have to say it was one of the best travel experiences I have experienced. The Inn and the grounds are beautiful with many places to cozy up to a fire or sit in the garden depending on the weather. The friendly staff are consistently taking care of every detail to make you comfortable, yet... More

A few weeks ago we booked a Table for 4 Adults for dinner for the 16th March 2014.We arrived about 6.45pm and the House looked amazing and beautiful with lovely open fires. Dinner very disappointing Starters were ok, Steaks were tough vegetables very poor. It is the first Place we have visited that there was a 10% Service Charge. No... More

Having heard great reviews about Rathmullen I was a little disappointed. I felt that the chorizo salad was a little costly for what I got. The fillet was warm but not hot. The cappuccino dessert was lovely. But it's the little things that I was more disappointed with. No back ground music in the restaurant, nearly drove past it as... More

We have been back to this hotel on many occasions and I can honestly say it gets better every time we go. From the moment you go through the door it's like going home. The staff make you feel so welcome and special no matter how busy they are or nothing is ever a bother. The rooms are spacious with... More

Rathmullan's quirky decor, cosy atmostphere, open fires and excellent food and drink cannot be matched. After many pre-wedding visits and stays at Rathmullan, my now-husband and I got married in the Ceremony Room at Rathmullan then held the 120 person reception in the Weeping Elm. To say we had a fantastic day is an understatement. It rained cats and dogs... More

Stayed 2 nights between Christmas and new year in family room. Fabulous place , open fires in all rooms downstairs with newspapers etc.. Food fabulous - especially the breakfasts !! Staff were so welcoming - especially Kathleen - true Donegal hospitality . That's our fourth visit and will definitely return !

Stayed for a business event. It's just too remote for this kind of thing. Good if you've a family get together. Wifi irratic. Bedrooms ok, warm. Bathroom nice but hot water an odd big water yellow hue. Bar food nice but pricy. Breakfast good. Stunning scenery and walks

Thank you for your review. With regards to the water, it comes from a peat bog. Upon arriving to the hotel the water is filtered, It does still hold a slight yellow colour but it is perfectly safe to use. Hope to see you back again. Michael More

My family stayed in this hotel in August 2013 for 4 nights. We live in Dubai, and the other families we were meeting at RHH live in Malaysia and the US respectively. From the second I began the booking process, Michael could not have been more helpful - trying to co-ordinate the best rooms for our visit, knowing we were... More

I have stayed quite a few times here and i just love the place. My favourite time to go is in the Winter when all the fires are lit and the place is so cosy and warm. The rooms are stunning,,each one different and comfortable....and include the popular Molton Brown products,,a big plus to many ladies. No matter what you... More
