Went for a wedding recently and stayed 2 nights. On arrival, staff couldn't have been more helpful. Excellent level of attentiveness, but not to overbearing. Food in the cellar bar on the Friday night was great, and the staff looked out, to make sure all got what was required, and nothing seemed to be a hassle for them. The room... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay with my aunts, cousins and little boy. From check in I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Child even had a little robe in wardrobe for the pool. irish made beautiful soaps, shower gel, shampoo, bath salts - such nice touch buckets, spades, wellies etc available if needed even spare swim items! All the staff... More

Visited again, excellent staff, room fine. Breakfast great too, it will keep you going for the day. I only wish the chef [s?] realise that just because you source excellent produce, you cant pop a premium price on it! A scallop starter, €15, for 3 small nicely cooked scallops, little bit of greenery, overpriced and the fish main course was... More

Stayed for a wedding recently and loved it. The staff, the old style rooms and the whole layout of the place is excellent. The meal considering it was for 120 guests was outstanding and that view was shared by everyone. Didn't make use of the swimming or tennis but the walled garden, grounds and beach were lovely. Thanks to all... More

As an American couple touring Ireland on our own, one of our goals was to escape other Americans. At Rathmullan house, we succeeded! For two days and nights there, we enjoyed everything about the place, from the breakfasts to the peat fires in all the ground floor rooms, walking on the beach, the rabbits on the lawn, the swims in... Oh dear. Got dressed up and excited to return for the first time this summer to the weeping elm restaurant where we have enjoyed so many excellent meals. Gone were the nice touches of the amuse de bouche whilst selecting from the menu, gone was the fine dining experience. Last night the menu read well but the reality on the... More

I am just back from a family reunion at rathmullen, dinner bed and breakfast for 2 nights. We all found the hotel to be wonderful - friendly, helpful and accommodating staff, comfortable spacious rooms, and excellent dinners and breakfast. This is my third visit and definitely won't be my last! A short walk through the gardens takes you down to... More

We loved this place. Beautiful room, huge bathroom with super towels, and bathrobes. Quirky furniture and other bits throughout the hotel. Very friendly and interested staff. As to the food: excellent breakfast, including the best coffee I've ever had for a hotel breakfast.... Other hotels please note! Dinner really very good - interesting menu, and food beautifully presented. The cheese... More

We stayed at Rathmullan for 4 nights. One of the best places we have stayed in - lovely room, innovative menus part of which changed daily, very friendly staff with time to chat when not at their busiest! Would recommend this as a romantic break or a relaxing holiday with friends every time!

Stayed one night but wish it could have been more. Premium room had direct access to the garden terrace, room was large and comfortable witih a beach ambience. Dinner was perfect as was breakfast. Fantastic to be able to walk 100 yards on to the mile long sandy and cockle shell beach. Highly recommended.
