Enjoyed a relaxing overnight stay in July. Room was beautiful, immaculately clean, bathroom was lush especially the roll top bath. Dinner was really lovely although hubbie was very disappointed they had 'ran out' of triple cooked chips to accompany his lobster. We also sampled two pizza's for lunch which were delicious. Staff very attentive but not too in your face.... More

Just back from a business meeting in Donegal stayed in Rathmullan house for my first time. What a hidden gem! A great experince from the freindly welcome to the most comfortable room with sea views. I stay away most weeks with work and hotels are so bland, not this place! The gardens are brilliant and I can see why lots... More

We recently stayed at Rathmullan House for two nights. We had not been there for a while but found it as relaxing as we had done previously. We had a superior room which was on the ground floor near the swimming pool. We had an outside space- a patio, but might have preferred to be nor the floor above for... More

We stayed here for one night only and we wished we could stay for longer. The room was lovely and spacious with a little outside terrace and a bathtub in the bathroom. There was a setup for tea and cookies, which was a nice touch. Dinner was delicious. The hotel is nice for families with children because they have an... More

Arrived and said we'd give it a try for lunch. Pulled up in the car park, house looked very grand from outside. No idea where to aim for for lunch, went in one door completely empty. aimed for the tap room, sign said open but with the babies buggy my wife went down to see, deserted again!! Went back to... Was staying in the area and was recommended to eat in the Tap House Pizza/bar in the hotel. It was a great place to eat Pizza's - simple service but quality excellent. Kids loved it and the home brewed beers were excellent - really different tastes. Hotel setting is beautiful and would be wonderful for a special event. The staff... More

We booked in, sight unseen, for four nights in late July and by some creative manoeuvring were given an excellent double room in the old house where we were very comfortable. This is a great country house hotel which has been careful to maintain that style and comfort whilst paying great attention to detail in every area so that it... More

We have been visiting Rathmullan House once a year for over 15 years now and enjoyed every stay. Rooms and beds are very comfortable, the location - practically on the beautiful sandy beach of Lough Swilly - is idyllic, and relaxation is assured. This year the restaurant has changed and we were concerned that the food would not be as... More

We did not stay in the hotel but spent a lovely evening in the Cellar Bar, tasting the Kinnegar beers and eating delicious pizza. We tried to book on a second night during our holiday but sadly there was a wedding on and the house was closed to the public. Well worth a visit.
