We stayed in a cottage overlooking the lake and had a lovely German style supper in the Lodge. The cottage was very roomy, clean, comfortable, with Loons calling on the lake. The restaurant, with window seats and the food was delicious. The restaurant staff service was exceptional! It was great! The host Theresa was friendly and very welcoming...couldn't ask for... More

My husband and I spent one night at Lakeside on the way to Nova Scotia. It is a wonderfully quiet spot on a pristine lake. Theresa and Karl are the proprietors who are actively involved in the operation. Theresa is the hostess/receptionist/bar tender and Karl the chef. Two friendly, warm people who have found this special place that they are... More

Theresa was a quite pleasant hostess. Made sure we were comforable. Property was clean and scenic with it being on the lake. We stayed at the main house and not it the cabins. The beds are due for a change. We made use of the trail around the lake and had a good walk. It is pretty isolated, but town... More

We visit Grand Falls every few years. This was our first experience at Theresa and Karl's little bit of heaven. You stay in a beautiful cabin in front of the lake. You get a wonderful nights sleep in a quiet place on a clean, comfy bed. The owners are extremely friendly. They are eager to help you and it is... More

Two summers ago, my husband and I stayed at Lakeside Lodge on our way to Nova Scotia. I hate hotels, and most hotels in Grand Falls seemed to be right on the highway. No thank you! I found this place on the Internet and thought why not give it a try. I AM SO GLAD WE DID! It's quiet, peaceful,... More

We have been staying at Karl & Theresa's Lakeside Lodge for more than 10 years. We travel to and from the Maritime provinces every year and we have planned our driving so we can stay here coming and going. We are a family of 5 with a dog and we usually stay in the cabins which are perfect for our... More

While on a journey to Nova Scotia, we stopped here to enjoy a meal. We did not stay here, but had an evening meal here. The wait staff were extremely friendly and very patient with us, having a very expressive 2 1/2 year old ! Having lived in Germany for many years, this was soooo nice to sit down to... More

I stayed here several times over the years ,alone and as a couple, always at the lodge. This spring there are new mattresses in all rooms (very cozy sleep), and modern flat screen TVs. Yes, the rooms are country style, but that is just right for a Lodge, and with everything needed. It is so quiet and peace full here!... More

Stayed one night on our way through to Nova Scotia. Shared a cabin with friends and two teenage sons. There was lots of room and we enjoyed the deck overlooking the water. Cabin was clean and comfortable but tired. We expected an oven but there was none, so we had to rent a bbq. The rental was a little expensive... More

My partner and I were heading to Quebec City from Nova Scotia. We had shortlisted a couple of hotels and this location as possible places to stop to break-up the 11-hour drive. We arrived in Grand Falls at 9pm. The Best Western quoted us $179 and the Quality Inn $139. Seeing that the Lakeside Lodge was advertising $89-$115 for a... More
