I stayed here with my family. The first three days of the week stay we were without hot water and heat. Three out of the four of us ended up getting sick. The room and accomadations were filthy and there was a sewer smell that no amount of lysol or room fresheners would cover. I was very disappointed and no... more

The castle/hotel was very nice, The staff was very accommodating. Best to make reservations for the eateries upon arrival. However, if a wait is necessary the pub is very comfortable to have a pre-dinner drink. Spa closes early on weekends, so check schedule upon arrival. We really needed the spa treatment, but did not get there early enough. The shuttle... more

We stayed in a family room for two nights in July 2009. I had stayed here before and knew its style was 'shabby chic' but it has gone down to just shabby now. Its decor is definitely not at four star standard. Bar and restaurant staff were plentiful and really lovely and the food was good but the room was... more

Stayed with my wife in mid July for 6 nights. We are mid 20's. Arrived about 4 hours prior to check-in on a Tuesday..."no problem" is exactly what the young lady at the front desk said..."we can get you in a room now...go get some rest"... We arrived in our room; and my wife and I both like it chilly... more

From paying for the postage and mailing our 24 postcards home to quickly responding to all our questions and needs, the staff made our stay very pleasant. A fresh liter of bottled water along with cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the room every morning, we began our days refreshed and our nights relaxed. The good sized pool allowed... more

My husband and I stayed at the Fitzpatrick Castle Holiday Homes with another couple in June 2009, as an RCI exchange. The Holiday Homes are located in an apartment complex on hotel property (9 timeshare units and the rest are residents). Our ground floor apartment consisted of a living room-kitchen area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a utility closet.... more

We'ev spent 2 Christmas's at the Castle 2006 & 2008. On both we have really enjoyed our stay- the staff are excellent and the rooms comfortable. My only complaint it the extension is out of charactor wit the old hotel more

We have just arrived back after spending three nights in the Fitzpatrick Castle hotel. Overall we were pleased with the service and staff. The room was very spacious and with two toddlers this was great. However, you have been advertising your hotel as a family friendly place to stay but i did not find this to be. The staff should... more

My family and I stayed at the Fitzpatrick for 3 days. The front desk service was fantastic, as was the young man, Connor, who tended our luggage(and later room change) needs. The first room they gave us, the furnishing were very cheap looking; they had a curtain for the closet door and the hairdryer looked like a vacuum piece(the long... more

Located up high on the hill in Dalkey, the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel provided a comfortable, quiet stay. Be sure to trek further up the hill (behind the hotel) and have a look at the beautiful Irish Seascape. You won't be disappointed by your stay here, as the staff was courteous and the breakfast buffet was tasty, but extra $. The... more
