Staff were great and service cannot be faulted however the room was very tired now and he hotel in general needs a wee upgrade as I'm sure it was a cracker in its hay day. It is now however riding on that past glory and didn't deliver for the price.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Fitzpatrick Castle. The staff was very cordial and friendly, especially Mark, one of the managers. The fire place in the lobby, and the other common areas were great. Our room on the fifth floor was very nice and the bedding and linens were incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed a great night's sleep and... More

I Arranged to meet a colleague here for a meeting and I'm embarrassed! The teacup/sugar bowl and tea pot are all filthy. The furniture is so battered it could have been dug out of a skip. The leather seats look like they were attacked by a rabid animal and all the feathers are coming out of the upholstered seats. There... More

We stayed for 2 nights in an executive room and found it average. The room itself was spacious enough, warm, cleaned and attended to every day. The decor was satisfactory, but it is the rest of the hotel that can be seen as a let down. The lounge is spacious but cold and some of the older guests were reluctant... More

I purchased a deal here for an overnight stay for my wife and I. We paid extra money (€30) for a room with a sea view. Unfortunately, there was no sea view. The only way I could see the sea was to hang out over the balcony, strain my neck and look to the left. I had presumed when it... More

The only way my significant other and I could describe this castle, specifically the room we were put in....it was what we would image the hourly hotel rooms, yes the horribly trashy ones, to look like. We were extremely disappointed. It look like someone busted down our door and I was actually scared to walk barefoot in the room. The... More

Just returned from a two night stay at this hotel. It was the last stop of a week long castle stay in Ireland purchased through Group On. All of the other hotels/castles during the tour were wonderful and had very friendly staff - this was a different experience. Starting with the positives it is fairly close to Dublin and located... Just returned from a night in the castle and very disappointed. On arrival it seemed ok - public areas seemed clean and tidy and the staff very helpful and friendly. However on leaving reception into an antiquated lift and up into the bedrooms was another story. We were on the 4th floor and old doors and a general very dated... More

Just back from an overnight stay at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel. Firstly I would say that the management should put up a sign as to which actual door leads to the hotel reception as it is very confusing once you’re in the car park. Secondly the reception area needs totally revamped and manned accordingly, queues of people waiting to be... More
