We stayed only one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was airy and comfortable with a spectacular view of the river and mountains. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. And our early morning walk to the ruins across the river, accompanied by some ewes and their lambs, was lovely. We ate dinner at Lynham’s in Laragh, a... more

We stumbled into the Riversdale House when visiting Glendalough last month. Just followed the sign along the highway and ended up in a beautiful B&B in an incredible setting. Hordes of tourists invade Kevin's Kitchen, Kevin's Way and the gorgeous Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains. Who would think it possible to find accomodations in the middle of the action, right... more

I was disappointed in my stay at Riversdale House. This was our last night before we headed back to the states and we had a bad nights sleep. I felt the bed was itchy, not sure if it was bed mites or something, so we wound up sleeping on-top of the bed cover. The hosts were very nice, however, one... more

Dear Chris & Jane, Due to the positive reviews we have had over the last couple of years from our many guests , we were very surprised to read your recent review. Regarding the poor nights sleep you had, can we assure you that all bedding is washed on a daily basis and all rooms are checked after they have...

This was our first B&B in Ireland, and we were very satisfied. We flew in to Dublin and headed straight down to Glendalough in County Wicklow. Which brings me to the first point - as someone else here mentioned, it's not in Bray. It's much closer to Glendalough, Laragh, and the southern end of the Wicklow Mountains national park. Use... more

The B&B is smaller than we expected and a little hard to find (the sign is small), but the location on the river is beautiful, the room was clean and tidy, the shower had excellent water pressure (by Irish standards), and breakfast was customized to our liking by the friendly hostess. We were left nearly completely alone by our hosts,... more

Riversdale House is an easy drive from Dublin and was our first night in Ireland. The mountain setting, good views, easy walking distance to the monastic site and quiet private room made for a great night’s stay. The walk across the stepping stones and along the forest track is both easy and picturesque. Our room was of a good size... more

We (two couples) stayed for four nights at Riversdale House while taking day walks along the Wicklow Way. We loved it---Zell was very helpful in booking restaurants for us for dinner, the bedrooms were nicely appointed and clean, breakfasts very good. A very attractive and well run Bed and Breakfast which we really appreciated, especially after disappointment with our accommodation... more

We stayed in the Riversdale House for our last 2 nights in Ireland and really enjoyed our stay. The B&B is in a wonderful setting and this allowed us to unwind and take some wonderful walks. It was extremely clean and the rooms are large. While it was missing a few things that would be nice to have added (individual... more

Note: Although tripadvisor lists Riversdale House as being in Bray, it is actually located in Glendalough, very convenient to the sights there. We stayed just one night at Riversdale House, but really enjoyed it. The B&B is located down a hill and alongside a pretty river, about 20 minutes walking along a forest path to St. Kevin’s Monastery. It’s a... more

This B&B serves good breakfast, has spacious and very clean rooms, and is a joy for anyone who likes to go on walks or simply be outdoors. The location is somewhat secluded so if you want to have a drink down the pub at night, bring a lantern to find your way back! Follow the beautiful river in front of... more
