Excellent value for money. Arrived two hours before check in time and rooms were ready for us. All staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable (we had the biggest bed I have ever seen and it was also the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in). Our room was at the back of the hotel,... more

We arrived before check in time on 20th November and were immediately booked into the hotel and shown to our rooms. The rooms were lovely and of a good standard, clean and well equipped. The hotel facilities were brilliant, a lovely pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, and more than accomodating - nothing was... more

I have recently returned from a stay in The Royal Hotel, I was concerned regarding the comments on Tripadvisor as this was present for my mum and myself, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, we had a lovely large room overlooking street, great leisure facilities, pleasant staff and good food, would definitely return again great location for bray... more

Lovely hotel downstairs but the rooms are dismal and the cleanline3ss of them leaves a great deal to be desired. The food was good however. more

This was our fourth stay at the Royal in just over a year so obviously we like it although we always wait for deals. 99 euros for three weekend nights and breakfast with one evening dinner compares well with B&Bs across Ireland, and obviously you get the pool and gym here. Its a great location for Dublin, Wicklow and the... more

I was really worried about staying because the reviews were generally appalling so I emailed the hotel. To be fair, the reservations manager emailed with reassurances that our rooms would be personally inspected before our arrival. Not sure if this was actually done. Anyway, enjoyed the weekend but there were some drawbacks such as no hot water on first morning... more

Stayed here overnight on a coach tour and for that purpose it was just about adequate, but it is a hotel I would never wish to stay in again. The food was OK, but the room was bare, unattractive and dimly lit. The inter-room telephone connection did not work and the strip light over the wash handbasin in the oddly... more

It was a special recession deal and I paid about 50 Euro for a night in this hotel including breakfast and dinner - sounds like a good deal, but I still would NOT go back there. Considering as well that you have to pay 5 Euro for parking (not mentioned on the WEB-site) and Euro 12.50 a day if you... more

Stayed here for 5 nights on a touring base of Co. Wicklow. We should have realised from the address that anything that say's Main Street is a bad idea. From the noise of the pedestrian crossing all night to the arrival of coach parties arriving and departing at all hours with the bus engine running outside our bedroom window was... more
