First night after arrival, just needed a place to crash on arrival in Ireland. Our first of several B&B's and very satisfactory for what we needed. Sort of hidden away, so check directions. Nice upstairs bedroom, friendly hostess. Terrific value. Good breakfast. House is a little dated and a little worn, just what we expected and added to atmosphere. Close... More

Myself and my wife stayed in this lovely B&B over the Easter Break when visiting family in Wicklow. The house is full of character and the hostess was lovely, she told us the house was built in the 1800's and used to be a church Rectory. We had a lovely big room with pretty views of the garden. Kay was... More

I shall begin with the positives. Lovely warm bedroom with really comfortable bed. Hostess was very friendly. However....the bathroom was a different story. The towels were REALLY hard, the shower over the bath was like a hosepipe, what little toiletries there were was covered in mould. The whole room was rather tired. The house was full of clutter. On the... More

We stayed at this adorable little castle/B&B this past February. The hostess was really wonderful! We had an awesome typical irish breakfast, with a large array of different sausages and cheese. There were only a few things that i might view as problematic: The bathtub didnt work in our room, to "conserve water"..It took my boyfriend and I a few... More

I had a great sized room, with two antique brass beds, a vast bathroom and a super view of the gardens. THe rectory is a listed heritage building, which limits what the owner can upgrade, but is beautifully kept, and decorated sympathetically. The place was toasty warm, wifi was excellent, and there is an electric kettle in the room, and... More

Sort of a last minute (prior to our trip) change in plans to stay here, and couldn't have been more happy about it! Kay is a wonderful hostess! She goes above and beyond to take care of her guests! We were very lost at first while trying to get used to the roads and driving around, and she offered to... More

We showed up at the Old Rectory without a reservation on October 8, 2013. Unfortunately, Kay's B&B had no vacancy as there was a filming nearby and she was all booked up. She said that ordinarily at that time of the year she would have had rooms. So she invited us in, took out her B&B directory, made phone calls,... More

if you love all things Victorian this is the place to stay. It is a rare gem in a modern world, and Kay, our hostess, is beyond marvellous! Beautifully decorated in period style - even the excellent coffee came in an antique silver coffeepot! Of course the vintage carpets are a little worn, but it's part of the charm. Still... More

Very nice and charming house with comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and a very nice lady to welcome us. As far as it is very convenient for visiting both Dublin and Wicklow area, it was really perfect for our small family (4 p).
