I was a little hesitant about staying, as the outside of the hotel & immediate foyer is a little run down but now we stay here regularly. The hotel is amazing, it has such charm & the corridors upstairs are so full of wonder & old school charm. Agree with the other reviews, this hotel has something for those travellers... More

If you are happy to stay in a sterile, impersonal and characterless clone hotel then go elsewhere! There are plenty of them around and they may be full of efficient, grinning Autons but none will come close to the warmth and personality of the lovely Ena. The hotel may be fading and full of past dreams but 10 minutes in... More

The owner of this establishment is effusive and very pleasant. This place is a good base for touring Dublin with its proximity to the rail line. All the gobbledygook about being musty, haunted, and don't go there is funded by developers who are drooling over this property. The people who owned the Lahinch Hotel, what a charming place, caved to developers.... More

wonderful trip back in time, lovely relaxing and healing space to be. Ena is a treasure and everyone who appreciates genuine wonderful and different space will love it here. If all you want is travelodge or corporate comforts go elsewhere. If you want a genuine Irish experience go to the Bray - where once upon a time those filming at... More

This is not a hotel for people who want sleek furnishings, glass and chrome. This is a place for people who appreciate history, tradition, a type of hospitality that is sadly dying. The hotel itself is fading but it is a place to lose your heart to. It has all the old hallmarks of a great old school hotel. The... More

Most peaceful hotel i 've stayed in.!..away from the hustle and bustle of the nightlife down the promenade...only sound is the ebb &flow of the waves outside the window...don't expect wi-fi or spa treatment ...or modern trappings...just old fashioned hospitality and great views in great setting!

My partner booked this hotel for us for a weekend last year, and more recently, this past weekend....and i have to say, it is the best ever hotel ive stopped in!!! If you're expecting WiFi and Spa treatments, this is not your kind of place....if you want to stay in somewhere with so much more character than any of the... More

Beautiful location, unique atmosphere, rooms in flawlessly kept grand old style, very good breakfast and a service that seems to follow the motto: “every guest is special” — all this adds up to a stay to remember. Highly recommended, not just for those with a sense of time.

Einer der schönsten und bezauberndsten Orte! The landlady is marvelous, the hotel is an old jewel from a fairy tale and the outlook over the bay is absolutly amazing. To find this place, it was like a treasure of gold from a leprechaun! That hotel seems from an other time and it has its own special spirit. And I hope... More
