We stayed 1 night at Hill House in Cashel and wished we could have stayed longer. Carmel was such a great host, telling us places to eat and information about the town and just making us feel welcome. Breakfast was great, the fruit pancakes (recommended on TA) were wonderful! The view to Rock of Cashel was wonderful especially at night... more

Georgian House with spectacular view of Cashel Cathederal located on Cashel Rock. Town center within walking distance, no parking woes. Elegant sitting room with a timber and peat fire in the evening. Reliable internet connection for music and mail. Customized breakfast. This is the location to stay for several days and enjoy. more

A spur of the moment decision brought us to Cashel. A quick stop at the Visitor Center resulted in us taking a walk "up the hill to the level of the Rock" to have a look at Hill House. After just a few minutes of chatting with the lovely hostess Carmel we knew we had found a jewel on the... more

Carmel Purcell the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very comfortable and were done beautifully to match the Georgian style of the house. We woke to a lovely breakfast, which had choices of smoked salmon, full Irish breakfast (to name a few) and included fresh baked bread, fresh fruit salad and freshly squeezed juice. We enjoyed the... more

Our stay at the hill house was short and sweet. We were just passing through, so unfortunately we stayed just one night at this lovely Georgian mansion perched above Cashel but just a quick walk to town. There were four of us traveling together so we had two rooms, both furnished with antiques. One has the most amazingly high ceilings... more

My wife and I just returned from a week in Ireland and we started with two nights at Hill House. It is a classy house that is well maintained with a spectacular view of the Rock of Cashel. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. Dining room for breakfast is elegant and the food was excellent. Staying at Hill... more

It was our first trip to Ireland and I had booked B&B's from information over the internet, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Hill House was absolutely lovely. The room was large with a huge four poster bed that looked like something out of a fairytale. Everything was immaculate and clean. The grounds were amazing. Looking out our window... more

How lucky we were to have found this gem without a reservation. Very comfortable and spacious rooms, good plumbing, friendly hostess and an excellant breakfast with a fabulous view of "The Rock." This was the perfect stop to make between Dingle and Dublin. more

We (husband, his parents and daughter) just got back from our Ireland trip and we spent 1 night at Hillhouse (1 double and 1 triple). What a complete joy! The house is beautiful and beautifully maintained, the view spectacular (Rock of Cashel lit at night is clearly visable from the yard and most rooms), the rooms clean and comfortable and... more

A real home from home. Very comfortable, convenient and welcoming house to stay in. I use this guesthouse for business when travelling between Dublin & Cork. A 5 minute stroll downhill into the town and spectacular views of the "Rock of Cashel" as well. more
