The hotel is right in the centre of Cashel but as it's set well off the main road and surrounded by lovely gardens you are never disturbed by street noise. From the outside the hotel is impressive with a grand entrance and roaring log fire. After check-in we were left to find the room ourselves with no offer of tea... more

I was expecting more out of the Cashel House Hotel. Room was not fantastic but had a lovely view of the Rock. Breakfast was served in a beautiful old dining room but was not up to standard. However, we enjoyed the food in the restaurant which served by a very able and jolly waiter. more

We had reason to stay here unexpectedly this year but there was no hardship involved ! Actually I got married here in 2005 ......not because I am from the area but because we had stopped here so many times between Dublin and Tipp town and always had lovely food , great service and a great vibe. It's a very historical... more

The imposing exterior of the builing; it's ideal location in the town and the promise of your own private walk to the rock should have set this hotel well apart from the rest. The truth was far different: Reception was just the start were I was juggled between the phone and some other guest. The room, though spacious had wall... more

I email a month in advance requesting a room with a double bed and two singel beds. The reservations were made and arriving the rooms were below standard, the heater did not work in the room, the bathtub had mold. We were not happy with the quality of the room or the service. Breakfast was marginal. The only nice thing... more

We booked 6 rooms here for a yearly reunion of some college friends of my wife. We were slightly nervous given some of the reviews here but I must say it was top class from the moment we arrived. Staff here are so welcoming and made us feel right at home. We had drinks in front of a roaring fire... more

We simply walked in to this hotel upon arrival in Cashel on the afternoon of Thanksgiving day. All the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. We obtained two rooms with queen beds in each on the top floor of the main building. Both rooms were very nice, with comfortable beds and bedding and views out over the front... more

We stayed at the Cashel Palace last weekend and when I read the terribly critical reviews on this site tonight I cannot believe that the other writers stayed in the same place. We didn't have a reservation and happened to be driving through the town en route to Waterford when we decided to stop to take in a street festival... more

This is not a four star hotel. The bedding and paint on the walls have seen better days. There was mold in the bathroom. I know i was paying for a view, but for what I paid I expected a very upscale place. It is way overpriced for how run down it is. I would not stay there again. more
