We didn't stay in the hotel so this review is only regarding the attached restaurant. We had a less than great experience. We came in and were greeted right away and ordered drinks. There weren't very many people in there so I was curious, but it was also pouring so I figured maybe the weather deterred people. So we ordered... More

This Hotel had been recommended for a meal by the owner of our local accommodation , but we were very doubtful when we saw the dated hotel entrance in the historic tower and the yellow bar entrance next door. However, I would highly recommend this hotel for both its food, service, value and overall ambience. There are modern oak tables,... More

I have heard so much about Kearney's that I just had to try it out... On a return trip to Dublin recently we decided to call in, it was around 7pm in the evening. There was a nice few people here. We ordered and we weren't disappointed, Fab Food! Fresh hot and good portions too. Keep up the good work... More

Four of us had the 4 course dinner, everything was fantastic. I had the pear and walnut salad as a starter and the chicken and mushroom entree, the others all chose the steak entree and raved about it as well. Service was very good and we were able to relax after a long day of sight seeing in their very... More

Love grants for dinner or lunch. Steaks are to die for and are great value @€12 during lunchtime which continues until 5:30pm. For dinner the evening menu is fantastic also with a wide range of foods to choose from. They do an evening set menu which is 4courses and costs €25. Great value and quality. I know some people complain... More

We ate in the restaurant two nights in a row. Service was very slow, but the food was so good we had to go back! Excellent value for money. Friendly staff. Food cooked to perfection and well worth the wait.

We stopped for dinner in the Kearney Castle Pub on New Year's Day, admittedly because nothing else was open. From the outside we saw an old, dingy looking pub but the inside and service couldn't have been more different! The pub area was well decorated and modern, as well as warm and welcoming on a cold winters day. The food... More

Have eaten here before any it was always good but tonight was totally different unfortunately. We waited 45 mins for our starter which was smoked salmon so it's not like they had to wait to cook it . I had chicken and mushroom vol au vent , loads of chicken no sauce and dry over cooked hard pastry. Hubby had... More

While staying at the beautiful Aherlow House Hotel we took a day trip to Cashel. Where we ate in the bar. The food took 40 mins to arrive, this was for main courses only, which was way too long for 2 baby bowls and 2 Roast Dinners. When it arrived it was just landed on the table, with no offer... More

50 mins from ordering until food arrived. Waitress forgot drinks, so my husband went to the bar to order them again. Food was bland. Highly recommend going elsewhere. The waitress was apologetic, but claimed it was so busy. It didn't seem so. Our food, pasta and a steak, were less than average.
