Stayed here recently for a getaway weekend. From its excellent welcome to its old world charm, everything was just about perfect. This hotel could certainly teach a thing or three to other small hotels about service and attention to detail. We were made most welcome and nothing was a problem ,the hotels " lived in" style only added to its... More

I recently attended a wedding at this exquisite hotel, not my first time! The staff were truly wonderful and friendly. The food was delightful. Service was spot on. Toilets were spotless. Just one little flaw..... Went to bar in function room..no bartender! Went to public bar.... no bartender. I asked the Manager if it was self service. He apologised and... More

I recently had the pleasure of staying for a weekend at Raheen House with some cousins. Our stay was very pleasureable. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and I felt very much looked after for the whole weekend, nothing was any trouble to them. We had bar food on Fri night, homemade soup + brown bread in the cute... More

I was fortunate enough that the college was giving me this hotel for my clinical placement for 2 weeks. At first, I didn't put much expectation on a B&B + Hotel place in a small town, but this place has really made me feel homely with a great classical bedroom setup. I did have some problem with the shower for... More

I booked a room with a double bed on expedia for 65 euros. On check out I got charged 99 euros because there we were a couple. That makes 34 euros for her breakfast sausage and mushroom. Surely a double room is just that! Traps for first timers at this place.

Good Evening Rex, With regard to your recent stay at Raheen House Hotel we felt obliged to reply to properly represent the situation. As you are aware yours was a double room but booked for a single occupant. The difference in price of €34 represents the cost for an additional person staying the night and also the breakfast. It was... More

Had the pleasure of staying for 2 nights at Raheen House, we arrived on Sunday afternoon and were shown to our room. It was one of the nicest rooms I have ever had the pleasure of staying in, it was like stepping back in time, the four poster bed was cosy and comfortable the decor was delicious, the ensuite neat... We intended staying somewhere else which wasn't up to scratch when we got there, so decided on the Raheen instead. It was absolutely charming and our room was large enough, clean and very homely. It had a really nice feel about it. Our travelling companion who was staying in the adjoining room had a very bad experience. Luckily he pulled... More

Good Evening Kerry F, On behalf of the hotel's owner, who is thoroughly embarrassed, I would to apologise unreservedly for your recent experience at Raheen House Hotel. In an attempt to explain, rather than make excuses, I can categorically tell you that the hotel changes sheets after every guest and it has never been our policy to do otherwise. It... More

This hotel has a lovely feel, set in large lush green wooded gardens and the staff were ever so co-operative to make our stay a really pleasant experience. Could not fault it really, rooms were clean, simple and tidy; food was honest fair!

Have been here a few times for many different occasions, school graduation, confirmations, weddings etc. Great location and lovely grounds. Food is always lovely and the place itself is always clean and staff are friendly.
