My wife and I stayed four nights at the hotel last week. The room was nice, spacious and relatively quiet (except for the occasional drone of the elevator), and the reception staff were most friendly and well-informed. While the food was very good at the restaurant - especially the crusted cod, we found the restaurant and bar service poor. This... More

The hotel, situated in the middle of the town in Glengarriff, is excellently located. The staff are extremely helpful and couldn't have done more for us. What sets this hotel apart is the quality of food in their restaurant, it was fantastic and to top it off they have a great wine list which was priced very competitively. The hotel... More

Having read various reviews and researching elsewhere, we chose this hotel for a two night stay. Our room on the first floor was facing the rear of the hotel, next time I would choose a room at the front. There is limited parking on the street to the front of the hotel, so we opted to park in the car... More

This hotel is conveniently located half way along the main street of the delightful village of Glengariff. The boat to Garnish island is an easy walk, as are pretty much all the bars and restaurants in the village. It forms a great base if one is tackling the scenically stupendous Beara peninsula. The bedrooms are comfortable and well appointed. The... More

My fiance and I stayed from 20th to the 22nd of July. Though it was a short visit it was memorable. The hotel is spotless, rooms are big bright and comfortable. The breakfasts are great, plenty to eat. The staff are super friendly. The location is on main street and the exterior is clean and very pleasing. I would recommend... More

Everything was absolutely perfect and we would stay here anytime again. The room was very clean and we had a lot of space. Although the room faced the main street the room was quiet and we slept very well on the comfortable beds.

Only stopped for one night but would definitely stay again. Good sized room, very clean and friendly staff. We were treated to an impromptu trad session in McCarthy's bar which made the evening. One of the party left a jacket behind and this was posted on by the staff.

Having dined in the bistro last summer and been impressed, we decided to try the hotel for a six day holiday. It was excellent. The hotel, bistro and adjoining MacCarthy's Bar are all well run and very friendly. The hotel is well appointed, clean and comfortable and the food is delicious with very generous portions. The location is conveniently in... More
