Just returned from a fantastic trip to Glengarriff S.W. Ireland with Newmarket Holidays. From the moment we arrived everything was really well organised, Escorted from the airport by minibus to the Eccles a very old and very beautiful hotel overlooking Glengarriff Bay. We were greeted there by Trish on reception she was so friendly and helpful as were all the... More

The hotel is situated in Bantry Bay with beautiful views over the sea. The room we had was clean and the beds were very good quality and very comfortable. The stay included dinner and breakfast, we found the standard of the food quite poor, with lots of room for improvement in terms of choice of food and quality.

A couple of great nights at the Eccles Hotel this last week. Open fires, music and Irish coffee. Can't beat it! The staff, all familiar faces, are welcoming and friendly and the service is great. Cannot wait to come back.

Just back from a one night visit to this lovely hotel with our local walking group. We had a very pleasant experience at the Eccles. We were made very welcome, given lovely clean and warm accommodation and had a very impressive evening meal. The staff were most friendly and helpful and dealt with our "mountaineering provisions" requests without breaking stride!... More

We had a great stay here. We stayed in the suite which had great views of the bay. It is very old world and quaint which is a key factor in its attraction. Location and views are great. If your looking for sleek and modern, go somewhere else, this hotel and it's staff have character and charm.

Spent two nights in this hotel last week and the first thing you notice is the stunning location, which is just beside waters edge, with lovely views of the mountains in the background. This is and old hotel with loads of character . The reception area is really lovely with loads of relaxing easy chairs and two open fires to... More

Checked in here and had booked the suite (bargain price, we couldn't believe it) suite was lovely, and huge, about twice the size of normal suite at least! All staff very friendly. Had dinner included but restaurant was so quiet it was uncomfortable eating there! WE ate quickly and left. Great hotel and lovely town!

WE were a little disconcerted by some of the reviews, however we stayed in this hotel for 5 days and were very pleased with the experience. AS we were part of a coach party the dinner menu was limited but we had sufficient choice and the staff were accommodating of difference. Good wholesome food, presented well and by friendly staff.... Worth paying extra for sea view bedroom, traditional hotel, a little tired, but excellent service and food very good, served piping hot by lovely friendly staff. Garnish Island well worth a visit and reached by local ferry. Hotel situated close to town and Bamboo Gardens. Travelled with Newmarket Holiday's and value for money.
