One of the most scenic locations in Ireland. Rooms tired looking, function room damp, and the exterior looks dreadful. They badly need to invest in it. The people working there were very nice, and it could be a great spot if the hotel matched their enthusiasm. A couple of friends stayed in a place nearby, and I regretted not booking... More

Stopped for a quick snack on a beautiful summers day while enjoying the Ring of Kerry. Decided to eat in the bar, and 3 of us ordered the Fish n Chips and a toasted sandwich. The girl who took our order was nice and friendly, but that was as good as it got. ! Plenty of chips and some salad,... More

We pass trought Waterville while doing the Ring of Kerry.. The restaurant was very dirty ... We ordered two fish and chips, the presentation seamed ok but the fish had bad smell and bad taste... We told that to the waiter and he just said that the fish was fresh!afraid of being sick we told him we didn't want to... More

The service was poor. Waitress gave us two menus for six of us, and it was tough to get her to come back for our order. The food was okay, but the place itself was old, dirty, and not kept up at all. The value was okay. Nothing was too over-priced. I went towards the lobby of the hotel to... More

Virtually all hotels that I've stayed at in Ireland have great, friendly, professional staff. This one doesn't I'm afraid. Relating the full horrific experience here with this hotel and its companion in Waterville (Lake Hotel) would take too long and may bore readers. All I would advise is not to stay in either.

Stopped in for lunch on our driving tour of the Ring of Kerry. Sadly this establishment, which should be thriving on summer tourism, did not know how to treat its customers. Indifferent staff and slow service. Can't complain about the portion sizes of the food, but almost felt unwelcome to be there eating the food.

we stayed in waterville for a week and stumbled across this pub on the first night looking for some dinner, worst mistake ever. the bar was filthy, the tables and chairs were all ripped, torn or damaged. the bargirl walked up, plonked menus at us and walked away again, her uniform was filthy also. when the food arrived it was... Booked in here with partner and 2 children for 4 night summer break! Without a doubt this is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The corridoors are filthy with stained carpets. The rooms have badly stained carpets also but are spacious for a family. The dining room for breakfast was filthy. Dirty tables, cutlery. A real disgrace! I... More

While the room was clean it was dated and the long winding corridors were dark and musty. The shower could not be used as it was a hand held item with no curtain. I am ashamed to say this is not suitable for visitors to Ireland and it was the worst hotel we ever stayed in anywhere. Every other hotel... More

We got a good deal €39each b&b it was perfect and great value unless you want to give away money to some five star. we went for nice walks for miles along the beautiful sandy beach. Gearldine and Mr O Se gave us a great welcome and nothing was a problem when we arrived. The room was great with a... More
