A group of us had sandwiches and chips . nothing special but ok .Guinness was also alright . Waitress was friendly . Unfortunately the ladies in group said the toilet was a disaster area. Gents toilet was ok. There seemed more staff than customers which may have told us something . Beautiful location but maybe we should have gone elsewhere... More

This hotel is without doubt the worst run establishment I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. It also operates as a hostel when the mood takes the owners/management (they are one in the same) who are among the most rude, arrogant and ignorant people I have encountered. The musty smell when you enter the reception area is off-putting,... More

In a previous review this hotel was described as Faulty Towers but rest assured there is nothing funny about this place. Run as both a hostel and hotel (Kerry Way Hostel). This is the ultimate falling down business, the slates missing from the roof confirms this. The whole building is falling apart from the broken glass in the dining room... More

Honestly I thought it was a bad joke when I walked in to reception. This is without doubt the VERY WORST hotel I have ever set foot in. Its like a scene from faulty towers and anyone that has booked, cancel or thinking of booking, forget about it. PT

One of the most scenic locations in Ireland. Rooms tired looking, function room damp, and the exterior looks dreadful. They badly need to invest in it. The people working there were very nice, and it could be a great spot if the hotel matched their enthusiasm. A couple of friends stayed in a place nearby, and I regretted not booking... More

Stopped for a quick snack on a beautiful summers day while enjoying the Ring of Kerry. Decided to eat in the bar, and 3 of us ordered the Fish n Chips and a toasted sandwich. The girl who took our order was nice and friendly, but that was as good as it got. ! Plenty of chips and some salad,... More

We pass trought Waterville while doing the Ring of Kerry.. The restaurant was very dirty ... We ordered two fish and chips, the presentation seamed ok but the fish had bad smell and bad taste... We told that to the waiter and he just said that the fish was fresh!afraid of being sick we told him we didn't want to... More

The service was poor. Waitress gave us two menus for six of us, and it was tough to get her to come back for our order. The food was okay, but the place itself was old, dirty, and not kept up at all. The value was okay. Nothing was too over-priced. I went towards the lobby of the hotel to... More

Virtually all hotels that I've stayed at in Ireland have great, friendly, professional staff. This one doesn't I'm afraid. Relating the full horrific experience here with this hotel and its companion in Waterville (Lake Hotel) would take too long and may bore readers. All I would advise is not to stay in either.

Stopped in for lunch on our driving tour of the Ring of Kerry. Sadly this establishment, which should be thriving on summer tourism, did not know how to treat its customers. Indifferent staff and slow service. Can't complain about the portion sizes of the food, but almost felt unwelcome to be there eating the food.
