Stayed 2 nights in July 14 in this lovely B&B in a terrific location for seeing the Kerry coastline. We found the owners, Margaret and Alan, very friendly and helpful and enjoyed a very nice evening meal. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms very clean and entirely as advertised. Great value stay.

Once we contacted Margaret to book this break we knew we were on to a winner. She was very helpful from the word go and had a great welcome for us on arrival. Our accommodation certainly met our needs. Nice spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, small (but adequate) bathrooms. A house of character (with rooms available on ground floor for those... More

We stayed in The Old Cable Historic House in June 2014. The old house is in a good condition and the host, Margaret and Alan, contribute to a pleasant stay. We came to play golf at the Waterville Golf Course. The Old Cable House is conveniently close located.

Before I booked this place I'd read some of the other reviews people had posted. They mentioned the great welcome, the great hosts, the great fish in the restaurant etc. When I arrived at 5.30pm I was met by a gentleman who didn't introduce himself and certainly wasn't particularly welcoming. He let me in and then disappeared for 10 mins... More

Margaret was a fantastic host that made us feel very welcomed at her Old Cable House BnB in Waterville. She greeted us at the door and introduced herself, we chatted for a few moments then she showed us to our room. The room was big and clean, the BnB was big and clean. Margaret even set us up on a... We stayed in the Old Cable house on a recent visit to Waterville. The best part of staying here is the friendly welcome of the couple who run it. The breakfast was very good too. The room was spacious but average, and there was a slight odor from the bathroom. Overall the place grew on us over our three night... More

I stayed here for a night with my husband whilst walking the Kerry Way. Everything about our stay was wonderful - the welcome, the food, our room and lounge/dining area could not be faulted. For my husband a bonus was drinking draught Guinness by a log fire after a long day's walk. The evening meal was beautifully cooked. Couldn't wait... More

Clean, warm and tidy room. Great communcation from booking to check out. Location is ideal if you plan on playing Skellig Bay or Waterville Golf links. The town centre is only a short walk away from The Old Cable House.

This was a lovely stop for my husband and I on the Ring of Kerry. We found the Innkeeper, Margaret Brown and her family, to be charming hosts. Our room in the newer addition was spotless and the walk-in shower was wonderful. Both of us enjoyed three great nights' rest. The Irish breakfast was always splendid, and Margaret and son,... More
