We stopped by this hotel for a break during our tour of the Ring of Kerry. We didn't stay in a room so I can't rate the rooms, but we had tea and cookies. There was a large group of us and the staff were quick, patient, and very attentive. The hotel overlooks the shore and is just a couple... More

This hotel is rustic - I guess that's a nice way of putting it. It is, however, the nicest hotel in the Waterville area, and if driving the Ring of Kerry I recommend staying a night in this nice Town to break the tour into 2 days. The hotel is clean, but our beds were small and not too comfortable.... More

The Butler Arms is a traditional hotel and has a lovely location on the seafront. We were able to hear the sea from our room window which was lovely! We ate in the bar which has excellent seafood and breakfast was also good. The only disappointing part about our stay is that we have bicycle rental details in their guest... More

Classic hotel, try and get an executive upgrade room for a real treat. Best people and service we found in all of Ireland. They even met our car in the parking lot after we checked in just to make sure we found our room. Food is great and breakfast awesome. Oceanfront location is great. They have private parking for guests... More

The hotel staff are very friendly, location overlooking the sea was terrific. Limited menu if you dont eat fish, and a little pricey, however the lovely waitress offered us the bar menu which had a few more choices and served to us in restaurant. It was a bit more dated than i thought for a 4 star, tv in room... More

Popped in today for a drink and snack but happened to sit apart from my fellow coach travellers. The consequence was to be completely ignored by the bar staff whose excuse was that a coach party had suddenly come in that they had to see to first. I pointed out that my friend and I were also on that coach,... More

We've stayed at the Butlers Arms Hotel many times since we first discovered it during our short honeymoon in Sept 1983. We were living abroad but fondly remembered that old world charm and personal touches that added so much to make our stay so memorable. We stayed again for our anniversary this year and we were delighted with that same... More

This hotel which was a popular choice of Charlie Chaplin was a comfortable stay. Although a little tired looking it actually felt warm and homely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent service at breakfast by a very professional waiter......the like of which is not often seen these days. The view of the sea was lovely. Not much in... More

Dined here a couple of weekends ago and was blown away by the quality of the food. This is my third visit to the restaurant, and this family-run hotel never puts a foot wrong in my experience. The service was personable and friendly, and the atmosphere and overall ambience were wonderful. All of their food is locally sourced, and it... More

We arrived at Butlers Arms in the pouring rain. We did not have reservations ,but were welcomed by friendly helpful staff. An old traditional family owned hotel. Our room was comfortable and warm. The food was great . We were able to walk long distance along the waterfront ,despite the wind. We will definitely return here oneday.
