This place is probably the worst I have EVER stayed in!! The rooms are disgusting! The cheapest of everything. The owners should be ashamed. It's nothing short of an embarrassment!! The bar staff were very unfriendly and refused us a late drink even though there were other patrons at the bar who had obviously just been served minutes before us.... More

We have eaten here twice for Sunday lunch. The food is nice but nothing special. The staff are friendly and our two young kids were made to feel welcome both times. The price for mains is average but we thought it was expensive for the kids meals. Overall we had a nice family meal out both times and would go... More

We were attending a family wedding close by and had booked three rooms, one with disabled facilities. On arrival we walked into a lovely old world bar and Lounge which was very busy with a great atmosphere. We were greeted by a very friendly lady, who turned out yo be the owner Teresa. Teresa showed us to out rooms which... More

I went to check into the b&b at two on a Saturday but the bar wasn't open and no answered my knocks. When I raised this I was accused of being lying by the owner, when I challenged this assertion and provided proof of my attendance the owner wouldn't replt. I paid full price for a room I didn't use... More

Had sunday lunch in mill yesterday, heard good reviews locally about the food! I was very disappointed. I taught beef was of poor quality, with strange taste. It was served with mash & veg! Positive was staff were very friendly and helpful.

I was part golfing crew that stayed at the mill. Must say Theresa makes this place. Great pint of Gunniess in the bar downstairs . Rooms simple and clean. Lovely breakfast Clonakilty puddings and Tropicana juice a sign of some one wanting it to right and not being scabie small details but it makes all the difference. Will be back... More

We ate here one evening from a recommendation whilst on our tour of ireland. The mushrooms were superb as the starter. I would go back just for them! The rest of our meal was lovely too and it was a good choice.

Stayed for one night. A short distance from athlone town centre. The staff were very friendly. The room was lovely. Breakfast was excellent, well worth getting up for. Would definitely stay there again.

I was booked to stay at the Mill Bar last week at a charge of 50 euro per night for a single room for two nights. However, when the owner found out that the booking was made for me by the BBC, they tried to raise the price to 75 euro per night but lowered it to the original price... More
