We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Helen and we were made so welcome. We are now back in Australia but are still talking about our wonderful stay at Helen's b&b. We could not fault our stay with her and everything was of a very high standard. We spent our first two nights in Ireland with Helen and we certainly experienced... More

We stayed here late last year and didnt want to leave. Many hotels and b&b establishments should visit this wonderful haven and really see how it should be done. Nothing is too much trouble and Helen is a delighful host. A wonderful peaceful setting on a working farm, although you would never know that if you didnt go exploring. The... More

I simply loved it. The house is wonderful and charming, quietly situated some 10 minutes (by car) away from Athlone, there is enough parking space in front of the house, and the rooms are cosy and clean, there are even bathroom amenities like small bags of shower gel + shampoo, soap, shower caps and cotton pads. I was travelling with... More

My family of 5 had the pleasure of staying at Ruth's B&B in the beginning of April for one night (I wish it were more!). As stated in most of the reviews, Helen was such a gem and superb hostess. The farmhouse is so charming, with classic old english furniture and beautiful Irish trimmings, very clean and the bedrooms were very comfortable... More

My wife and I had a very enjoyable 1-night stay at St. Ruth's B&B in mid-May, 2014. This is an excellent location for a base accommodation to tour the Trim, Ireland area. The house and grounds are beautifully maintained, and the setting is superb. Our host, Helen, was very friendly, efficient, and very helpful with any of our needs. The... More

What a pleasure it was to stay at St. Ruth's Farmhouse. Helen made us feel so welcome, and the other reviewers were right - her homemade apple pie with cream is delicious. Helen has thought of everything a person might need for a relaxing stay. Her Irish Breakfast was delicious too! She is a wonderful hostess, and we would highly... More

I am kind of a posh snob. (See my home above need I say more). I was all set for a wild St. Pat's weekend, but was too rattled to stay in Dublin after being kept awake all night by drunk Italians next to us ( as the ft desk of our hotel told us upon check out who was... More

Nothing but positives all around here: beautiful home; a warm, genuine, and very competent host; excellent attention to detail; and spacious, well appointed rooms. In no time Helen's welcome made us feel like a member of the family. An amazing experience. I can't thank you enough, Helen-- I'm so very glad to have met you!

I stayed one night at St. Ruth's with my aunt, sister and cousins. We had a fantastic time. The weather was cold and it had been raining. On arrival we were greeted with homemade delicious apple pie and cream. The fire was roaring in the hearth. All in all we were made to feel very welcome Helen our hostess I... More
