In the 18 days of our recently-concluded trip, Helen's place was the best B&B of the entire trip! The grounds were beautiful, the hospitality was fantastic, the room was spotless and the hot water was plentiful for my morning shower, and the breakfast was wonderful. Helen was extremely patient with my many phone calls, looking for directions to first our... More

This was our last stay during a 10 day stay in Ireland with my Mother and it really was an absolutely great end to an amazing trip. We arrived near sunset and after being greeted so warmly by Helen and being shown to our room we immediately set out to explore her beautiful gardens. It was like walking through a... More

It's hard to say anything new that has not already been said by other reviewers. Helen is a lovely welcoming hostess in the wonderful Irish tradition. The tea and apple tart she served us upon arrival was delicious. The room was comfortable and clean. Hearing the cows next door and the sheep on the other side made for a nice... More

We had such a peaceful, lovely stay here. Helen is the sweetest lady and she made us all feel so at home. We hated to leave. The midlands are too often overlooked by travelers, but they are such a peaceful area of Ireland, and shouldn't be missed. I miss all the happy cows and lambs, Helen's conversation and her berry... We loved every moment with the lovely hostess, Helen, her gorgeous old world Irish surroundings and her delicious breakfast! The grounds and country views are spectacular! I will never forget the view of a full moon from our upstairs front gable windowed room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Helen and we were made so welcome. We are now back in Australia but are still talking about our wonderful stay at Helen's b&b. We could not fault our stay with her and everything was of a very high standard. We spent our first two nights in Ireland with Helen and we certainly experienced... More

We stayed here late last year and didnt want to leave. Many hotels and b&b establishments should visit this wonderful haven and really see how it should be done. Nothing is too much trouble and Helen is a delighful host. A wonderful peaceful setting on a working farm, although you would never know that if you didnt go exploring. The... More

I simply loved it. The house is wonderful and charming, quietly situated some 10 minutes (by car) away from Athlone, there is enough parking space in front of the house, and the rooms are cosy and clean, there are even bathroom amenities like small bags of shower gel + shampoo, soap, shower caps and cotton pads. I was travelling with... More
