We traveled in a group of 6 adults and the Coosan Cottage was very fun and relaxing. They showed us how to pour the "perfect pint" with their own Guiness tap. It is a bit expensive, but everyone is friendly and they have made a great eco friendly hotel. more

We stayed at Coosan Cottage for 3 nights,& we would have to say it was one of the most friendly b/b we have ever stayed in .Tom is a great host & has good knowledge of the surronding areas. Our room was spacious & a comfy bed for weary travelers after a day out & about. Breakfast was a typical full... more

I recently visited Athlone and stayed ant the Coosan Cottage and had a wonderful time. The house is located near enough to a major road to be convenient but off on a country road where it is scenic, quite and relaxing. The near by city center of Athlone has plenty of shopping and good restaurants. Tom, is a great host... more

Extremely friendly staff. Great dinner recommendations; called to make reservations; and scheduled a cab for our pick-up. Bar in the B&B with competitive prices. Very friendly bartender- let us pour our own Guinness!!!!! Beautiful building; not close to the city, but a beautiful location. Only complaint is that it was a little pricey. Double check google maps, because we had... more

Only getting around to writing this review now... Stayed just the one night with my partner in the eco guesthouse. Arrived in Athlone by train and having looked up the b and b's location on Google Maps proceeded to follow it expecting a 5 minute walk. However, the directions were wrong and we ended up walking to the guesthouse 40... more

My husband and I stayed overnight at Coosan Cottage while vacationing in Ireland. Aside from the B&B being a bit hard to find, we enjoyed our stay. The room (#4) with an en suite bath was very clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Tom, the owner, was so nice and funny. He genuinely cares about his guests.... more

The owner of the guesthouse was slightly intoxicated when we arrived, even though it was only 5 o'clock, and was not very helpful, although he was very friendly. For instance, we asked for a recommendation for dinner, and he told us to just have Chinese food delivered because going out would be too much trouble. The room was spacious enough... more
