Stayed here mid October and have to say is a real gem. Before coming to Athlone I had thought The Raddison was the only hotel in town..how wrong I was.My bedroom was one of the most relaxing hotel rooms i have ever stayed (found it hard to leave! Being on business i decided against venturing into town for an evening meal... more

Stayed here in October while attending a friends wedding.. first impressions werent great, appearance of the hotel is a bit Fawlty Towers - lots of bits added on throughout the years.. not in the best of areas... light above the sign post outside is broken so you could easily drive by in the dark... inside of the hotel seemed really... more

We stayed here for one night and were very impressed by the room, lovely and clean, adequately kitted out with the usual tea/coffee tray, iron and hairdryer. Small gripe that there was no plug in the bath as I am definately a bath person, and after a long drive was looking forward to a soak, however wasnt bothered enough to... more

Stayed at this Hotel in September 2007, while attending a wedding. We regularly stay in different hotels, but found the bedrooms to be totally unsatisfactory. The reason I am posting this review now is that I have sent three Emails over the last 11 months to this Hotel, asking for an explanation as to why the rooms were so dirty.... more

I stayed in the hotel with my partner. Im living in Galway and the hotel got recommended to me by a friend. We were both pleasantly surprised with the rooms and the food. We got a good rate from an advertisement in a newspaper. The hotel is in a great location, just ten mins walk from the town center. The... more

We have stayed here twice before, in the new part of the Hotel and it was acceptable. This room was a disgrace and no help was forthcoming after two requests, although one of our party was moved from his room as the ceiling was leaking more

I think this is a very unfair comment to say about the hotel as you have stated that you have stayed with us twice before and have said that the hotel is exceptional. I do agreed that the hotel has an oldside and a newside which is of 4 star standard. We would only ever sell the old section of...

We have stayed here twice before, in the new section which is perfectly adequate. However, this time we were in the old section and it is a dump. One of my friends had to check out of a room with water dripping in through the roof only to find out a little later that somebody had already been moved from... more

Even although this hotel took a deposit from us, they overbooked our room. They telephone around the town for another hotel, and put us in a B&B, who told us that this happens regularly from this hotel. During the 20 minutes it took this hotel to find us another hotel, another two guests arrived to check-in to find out that... more
