A very enjoyable casual dining experience on the shores of the majestic Shannon river at Killinure. Set in a rustic woodland setting this eaterie provides some the finest Irish ingredients available. From the giant sized T.Bone steaks served on a breadboard platter accompanied with the freshest of salads and garnished with sautéd onions and mushrooms. My wife's roast duck was... More

Went there over the weekend with family who use the place a lot .The restaurant and bar were heaving and we knew we were in for a bit of a wait. The staff were lovely and kept us up to date on how long the wait would be while keeping the alcohol flowing. The wait was worth it , the... More

This is one of the best kept secrets of the midland's. It has great food, great service, and is very homely. No booking's taken it is done on a first come first served basis. If you are in a hurry and have not got time for freshly cooked food then this is not the place for you. If you want... More

Glasson is full of lovely restaurants but one you rarely hear about is the little restaurant in Killinure Chalets. We went on a Monday evening at around 6pm and we were lucky to get a seat (and this place isn't small....) it was packed! We got starters and main course - portions were huge, and really delicious. Looking forward to... More

We love visiting Kilinure Chalets and enjoying the amazing scenery of Lough Ree and Glasson. The restaurant serves the best steaks ever and the craic and friendliness of the bar is the stuff of legends. The chalets are fantastic and come well equipped for familys or just a bunch of friends. If you want a relaxing stay with amazing food... More

When in Athlone we always try to get to this restaurant. Beautiful hidden away near Quigleys Point it can be accessed via road or boat. Head to Glasson and take the road towards Gasson Golf Club. It's about a mile or so after you pass by the Golf Club. Manford and Ger will look after you well. Get there early... More

A lovely week long stay with my partner in Easter 2011. (I have also stayed here a number of years ago with my dad and brother so it was lovely to come back) Such friendly people, especially the owners Manfred & Geraldine who are lovely and appear to be very passionate about their family run business. The chalets are self... More
