Out in the country, quiet, and with beautiful views, Fernhill Farm was such a lovely place to stay - and I wish I could have put 4 1/2 stars, but your rating system would not let me. It is not a modern, stainless steel and glass place, but a real Irish home. And it has been a B&B for 45... More

Very quite beautiful bed and breakfast. Loved sitting out in the yard enjoying the views. Suzanne and her staff were gems. Provided us our first taste of Ireland and their warm welcome. Breakfast was wonderful. Suzanne gave us information and directions to the Cliffs and we took some beautiful pictures of the sunset. Would diffently stay there again!!!

What a lovely house, and the hostess is charming. We felt very welcome, and Suzanne was able to answer our many questions about where to eat, when to go to the Cliffs, etc... Breakfast was copious and the room was comfortable. The farm is a little difficult to find but we asked in town and then had no trouble.

Our hostess was friendly and welcoming, and our triple ensuite room was perfect. One of the directions from the bnb website had us going left instead of right but once we found the place we were very happy. The views of the rolling countryside were splendid. Stayed in summer so I can't comment on the temperature except to say it... More

We booked this B&B by chance and was pleased with our choice. The owner was very friendly and we enjoyed the stay. The room was nice and breakfast was really good. After spending the day in The Burren we enjoyed coming back and sitting in the large front room in the sun and reading. This B&B is located in a... More

I had booked two single rooms for the weekend of October 27th, not realizing that this was a bank holiday weekend. When I saw some bad reviews on this site after booking, I almost cancelled but figured it would be too difficult to find somewhere close enough to Doolin where I wanted to be, so I left it to chance.... It was a freezing cold night and the owner wasn't expecting anyone, as we just found the place and called in on spec. She was a lovely lady. Another girl showed us to our room, which was really basic but seemed clean enough, what one would expect in an older farmhouse. Our only problem was that the room was absolutely... More

All the other reviewers are right in there own way; It depends on what you are looking for. The house was old but so full of character that you just wish you could explore every room. And although the attitude was that these are the accommodations we have, take them or leave them, Suzanne was very helpful in making sure... More

The farmhouse is worn and shabby. The smell of "old" greets you as you enter. We would have tried to book elsewhere after our arrival if we could have done so. My sister and I shared a twin ensuite. I had reserved a double ensuite for my son. Turns out there was no bath in his bedroom. He had to... More

We had to change a booking last minute because the original B&B for this particular night informed us upon arrival that they, as of the day before, couldn't accept bookings from B&B Ireland any longer. We found Fernhill Farm and booked over the phone. Susanne, not sure of the spelling, was going to be taking her mother to the doctor... More
