What a perfect week I just had with Mary and Michael at Ballinsheen House! I was a solo traveler/guest but did not for one minute feel alone. Mary was so welcoming and such a pleasure to interact with. And what a help her and Michael were in setting up walks & hikes, helping me with transportation, and giving suggestions for... More

We found Ballinsheen House very clean and well appointed. The owner was very friendly and the breakfast in the morning was very tasty with homemade breads and lots of fresh fruit. I would certainly recommend this B and B to anybody travelling in this part of the world.

Four of us stayed at Ballinsheen House for a double anniversary celebration. I cannot speak highly enough of the welcome Mary gave us and this was consistent throughout our stay. We ate in the Roadside Inn one of the nights and Mary had rung ahead to alert them to the fact that it was a special occasion. My wife described... More

We stayed with Mary at the Ballinsheen for four nights in early July. We arrived mid-afternoon right from the airport. Mary quickly made tea and coffee, and provided us with muffins for a snack, then spent 20-45 minutes talking with us to recommend local things to see, places to eat and telling us about the area in general. The house... More

A really warm welcome from Mary, after a long drive across from Dublin that day! Very comfortable room, lovely view on the edge of the village and delightful garden. Top tip on where to enjoy a traditional Irish pint of beer locally and a delicious breakfast to start our day.

From the min you arrive you are greeted by Mary who is just as sweet as can be. A warm Irish welcome, in the perfect location along the Wild Atlantic Way. Mary was very accommodating to my Gluten Free needs and her food is to die for. There is something for everyone, she is an excellent cook and her support... More

We look forward to coming back here again

Mary was a welcoming, helpful, fun host. Her beautiful home is a 5 minute walk from downtown. The rooms are spotless. Delicious breakfasts are served in a beautiful conservatory. The sitting rooms are both ideal settings for nightcapping. We found this to be an ideal locations for exploring the Burren. We look forward to staying again sometime.

We arrived in Lisdoonvarna without a reservation and had some difficulty finding rooms due to a cycling event. Fortunately Banninsheen could accommodate us. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the gardens are beautiful. A+++
