Kathleen and her husband are the most caring hosts you could ever dreamed of. Oughterard is a nice place with all the pubs and restaurants you could fancy and Galway is just a 25 mn drive. Charming B & B with nice artwork. Yummy breakfasts. Used as a base for making short hikes with our young son around the stunning lush countryside speckled with little homes burning peat. Easy walking distance along a river path to downtown where there are a nice selection of restaurants and pubs.

What a beautiful setting, wonderful breakfast menu, beautiful home, and magnificent hosts at the Waterfall Lodge for the start of a 6 day bicycle tour in Ireland. Many thanks to Kathleen who runs the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Rooms large, breakfast excellent, grounds and house charming and I loved that I could wander downstairs and make myself a cup of tea when I felt like it. Great stay and very good value compared to some other B&B's in the area. Highly recommended.
