In front of the sea, great location in the nice port of Howth, this b&b is not so expensive, simple but clean and cozy. Mr. Jonathan is a big, funny, adorable kind of person. Good simple breakfast (no full Irish but really ok)

Howth is a nice little community on the coast a short distance from Dublin, easy to reach on the DART train. It is the place locals come on the weekend to relax, and there are lots of sailboats and tourists about. We picked Ann's from Rick Steves' Ireland 2014 guide. The host is Jonathan and he's great to talk to... More

Ann's is a unique gem in the picturesque village of Howth. The B&B is run by Jonathon who is as down to earth as it gets with a well developed sense of humor. He is very helpful and extends information on request as well as cultural advise which we appreciated. I got the impression he does not suffer fools or... More

There are a few type of B&Bs that you encounter in Ireland -- Ann's is on the simpler side. No 16th century construction with antiques and help to serve full Irish breakfasts but the location is great, the owner is friendly, and the place is clean. Ann's sits at the end of town, next to restaurants and pubs and is... More

ann's is in a great location, rooms are nice and clean, however I hope you don't want a good irish breakfast as you wont get one - toast and cornflakes is all which is very poor for the €80 price tag. owner was rude upon departure all in all wouldn't stay here again.

We spent the last two nights of a ten day trip at Mr. Cooke's place. While we are not the most seasoned at the B&B game, it really all lies in perspective. We stayed in two B&B's and a vacation rental during our ten days, so I will try not to deviate from apples and oranges. Jonathan was easy to... More

Stayed in this little gem many many times over the years while on business in Dublin. I have not been back since I started semi retirement in August 2009 and did not visit Dublin any more on business. Jonathan is the genial host of Ann's guest house and shop below. Since the death of his wife, Jonathan provides only continental... More

position is the best that anne's has going for it. sea facing rooms have glorious view with all neccessities. lots of stairs to get there and a sparse breakfast but the very helpful owner can be persuaded to accommodate requests.

Although this is not the typical cutesy B&B, it is located in a beautiful, convenient town just north of Dublin. Close to the DART train for easy travel to the city without the hassle of a car. Jonathan and his family are very friendly and helpful. Clean , comfortable and as we had a front room we had a beautiful... More

I booked this B&B at short notice for a family funeral. The owner responded as if it was most inconvenient to take a booking at such short notice, as if he was fully booked. It transpired that I was the only person there. The room was adequate, but was bitterly cold (it was February). There was no discernible heating, and... More
