We've just returned from our 5th visit to Dublin and stay at the Deer Park Hotel and Golf complex. We never fail to be impressed by the Manager David and his staff's very warm irish welcome. We are just back from a 4-day break with golf, liesure and a little 6 Nations Rugby viewing in Dublin which was quite an... more

Thanks once again to the tour of gentlemen for staying with us at Deer Park. It is always a pleasure to have such a wonderful group such as yourselves. The staff all enjoy looking after you during your stay, and look forward to your return. I hope youve forgiven us for the match result !

Very poor, and certainly not for the business traveller. I stayed there the night before catching a flight out of Dublin airport, but will never stay again. Good points: nice view, if you got a room with a view so quiet that the service from the waitress was excellent peaceful (because no-one was there) very nice swimming pool Bad points:... more

I recently stayed at the lovely Deer Park Hotel. We had a wonderful time and the views and surroundings were stunning. We stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms, what can I say....the room was spacious, beautifully decorated and beds so comfy. the bathroom was really 4 star standard. our room was serviced every day and couldn't have been... more

Like staying in my grannies. The bed was at least 20 years old, the staff were non existent/unhelpfull, or sitting around reception in hoddies, no uniforms or professionalism. The Tv in the bedroom wasnt tuned in to any channels. the fridge and radiator in the room made so much noise that i had to unplug the fridge (couldnt do anything... more

Im sorry to read your review, but need to make a few corrections to your comments. The staff uniform is a black waistcoat with our crest. They do not wear hoodies. That was 2 children staying in the hotel who asked to use the computer to send an e-mail to a friend. The Rhododendron gardens are world famous and incredible...

A special event of brought several of our family members to the Deer Park. Dreadful- tired rooms, peeling paper in the one I saw, and although a young group and fairly tolerant of the rough and ready, this was beyond what was tolerable. Our group stayed the first night and then checked out for the excellent Marine Hotel in Sutton! more

I am sorry to read you were dissapointed with the hotel. I am somewhat unsure about your comment about peeling paper in a room you saw. We only have one wall papered room and this is newly done. That said I apologise for any inconveniance caused. we are currently refurbishing many of our rooms, and if are willing to give...

Visited this hotel with family and friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. The hotel is located on the coast with the drive up to the hotel an 8 minute walk from the town and rail station. The hotel itself, although lacking in up to decoration was made up for by the hotel staff who were friendly, helpful and went the... more

A majestic driveway sweeps up to the hotel with fantastic views over Dublin Bay. This is a charming and cosy hotel as opposed to modern and sophiscated. The staff were very pleasant and helpful - especially when it came to organising and playing the different golf courses. Hotel food in the dining room was very enjoyable (as was the wine... more

In the last 5 yaers I was many times in The Deerpark Hotel. That says something about the hotel, in other words it is lovely situated on top of a hill with a breathtaking few on the sea. Very friendly staff, rooms are comfortable, food is fine. And played several rounds of golf in the park, used also the beautiful trails for... more

October 25, 2008 By: Richard Swauger, Arlington Virginia On the first of this month my wife and I arrived at the Deer Park Hotel in Howth. Howth is a short DART ride from downtown Dublin, Ireland. We knew that we would like the hotel because of the quite enjoyable exchanges we had with the hotel staff prior to our arrival,... more
