This was our first visit to Ireland. We have no other Irish locations to compare to, but we were fully satisfied with our stay at Ardagh House. The room was cozy, the bathroom being smaller than US versions, but not something to complain about. The owners are quite friendly, as well as the rest of the staff we met. The... More

Just back from a wonderful short break in Dublin. We tried hard to book a hotel but none were available so we opted for the ardagh guest house. From the warm welcome at check in to the friendly 'cheerio' at check out it was great. Superb breakfast spread, adequate bedrooms and wonderful closeness to Dublin town centre.

Ardagh House is a lovely old Victorian house nicely located about 10-15 minute bus ride from the city centre. For Dublin the nightly rates are ok. The room we had were clean and tidy but could use some updating. The breakfast was excellent. Overall the three days we stayed was pleasant and we would stay there again.

We recently stayed at Ardagh House, the latest of numerous visits over the last 3 years. We found things just about as perfect as all of our other visits. A great house with great rooms and great service. Its is conveniently located, clean and friendly and it is a pleasure to stay there.

Ardagh House is very well run and its owners Mary and Willy are very welcoming and obliging. We arrived there by taxi from Connolly Station (20 Euros) after taking the bus from the airport (6 Euros). It is located in n a nice neighbourhood and convenient to the double-decker bus into the city centre. Buses run every 10 minutes and... More

A lovely historic hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and the choice excellent. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The transport links were excellent. The LUAS(tram) and buses were within walking distance. The Ardagh is 10 minutes on the LUAS from central Dublin.

My wife gave me a surprise 40th birthday present by taking me to Dublin for the weekend and we couldn't have stayed in a better place. Very quiet, very friendly they couldn't do enough for you, and when my wife told them it was my birthday when we came back to our room I had a nice bottle of wine... More

We recently visited Ireland for a family funeral and due to circumstances were unable to stay where we generally do( with family). Ardagh house and its considerate and accomodating staff went above and beyond the call of ' duty' to provide us with exceptional hospitality. We were allowed to check in early(7am!) so we could sleep off jet lag, the... More

A very cozy and nice house. Rooms are comfortable and warm. We were on a family trip and had a great time in the hotel. Is not close to downtown Dublin but you can easily take a bus, a taxi or enjoy a 30-minute walk. A delicious breakfast is served between 7.30am and 9.30am. Staff is nice but strict. We... More

Stayed 4 nights for business. Homey place, rooms solid and clean. Breakfast good, but needs to offer, as an alternatve to sausage, more vegetables - even vegetable suasage or veggies omelette perhaps. Owners and staff all uniformly lovely and accommodating. Busline into city. Several good resturants within walking distance. Some rooms with essentially no Tv as it was so small... More
