This is a fairly new build so you can expect it to be well maintained and in good condition. All the staff are welcoming and friendly. My wife kids and I decided to have a soup and sandwich and sausage and chips. We ordered a seafood chowder and chicken sandwich. Firstly the sandwiches came on white bread instead of brown... More

Stayed here for a Living Social midweek mini break. Room was excellent, spacious, well furnished, massive comfortable bed, really good. Hotel has a chain hotel feel to it but is really well furnished and kept. Restaurant was good, food quality fine, service a little slow but not too bad. breakfast was good quality and with good variety. Cocktail included in... More

Stayed for a weekend, lovely hotel. Rooms are nice and beds are very comfortable. Vast majority of staff seem to be from local area so definitely an old fashioned Irish welcome feel to the whole place and I found staff generally very chatty and friendly. The food in both the bar and restaurant I thought was excellent and one of... More

I stayed in this hotel in March 2014 and really enjoyed my visit. The hotel itself is clean and well presented, modern and attractive. The staff were all really friendly. We got a deal online with a two night stay, cocktails, breakfast and a visit to the spa all in one package, which was excellent value at £60 a night.... More

Came over for a week of hunting with three friends. Although the hotel lacks any kind of character or charm, it was a warm welcome after some very long and wet days hunting with some of the brilliant local hunts. Beds were very comfortable, staff was friendly and meals were good! Looking forward to our next visit.

Just back from a wonderful weekend, our package at the Lough Rea hotel was for Dinner and B&B and use of the thermal suite. Our Dinner was fantastic, very tasty, breakfast was cereals, fruit and fry. A couple of minor issues not worth mentioning only to say that the staff handled everything brilliantly, very polite, helpful and friendly really really... More

A very pleasant relaxing spot at which to stop off for lunch when heading to the south west. There is ample safe parking. We had a simple lunch of sea food chowder, brown bread and a BLT with tea There were many more choices on the menu. The prices are very reasonable. The bar and foyer are modern bright and... More

Arriving from NYC the morning of our stay, we were immediately overwhelmed by the bright and warm presentation upon arriving at the hotel. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and accommodating. The room was truly outstanding with a bed so comfy it made dreaming easy! Our stay spanned 2 days on a trip to, unfortunately, bury a dear relative... More

I stayed here on a Valentine's one night special package with my boyfriend. This package included bed and breakfast and an evening meal. The hotel is located just outside Lough Rea. The rooms were clean, spacious and cosy and our room was overlooking the Lough! We had dinner that evening with the special valentine's menu followed by drinks in the... More
