We absolutely loved every minute of our stay at Ballyduff House. The setting is spectacular, the home is stunning and infused with character and a rich history, Nore River is gorgeous, breakfasts were delicious, but above all Brede is the unassuming star of this show! She is the most gracious hostess I've had the pleasure of meeting. Knowledgeable, kind, available,... More

I have visited this lovely, grand home in the country three times now, and it only seems appropriate to visit once again, for MY WEDDING this upcoming year!!! Summer in Ireland, cannot imagine a better, more romantic place to share my vows with my one and only!!!This place is stunning, I love the hostess-she is like a family member, and... More

Green gardens, river, quiet. The house is beautiful; and with a very warm atmosphere. Our room was lovely, facing the river- what a nice thing to wake up looking at that! Great breakfast; incredibly nice hosts. We had a lovely walk to a village nearby; peace & quiet: just what we came for. I would absolutely recommend this place to... More

I stayed here recently, the house is stunning, rooms fabulous but best of all Bréd (lady of the house) is so lovely and kind. I really enjoyed my stay and will be back soon. A real treat only an hour from Dublin!

We arrived on a cold dark winters evening to a wonderfully warm reception from our host Brede. We were served coffee & biscuits in front of a blazing fire in her georgian library and offered a glass of wine as well. Then she showed us to a beautifully appointed bedroom which was enormous with a huge bed, open fireplace with... More

This splendid Georgian House overlooking the River Nore is the ideal location for a break from city life. Brede, the host, is welcoming, yet unimposing, informative and obliging. Spend some time relaxing with a glass (or two) of wine in front of the roaring fire in the library. There are plenty books to thumb through, however, if you just can't... More

any time i'm feeling a little down, I look back at my photos of Ballyduff, and I just feel a bit better...this guest house is by far, the best fit for mine and my husbands wants/needs when we travel..it is lovely, on a river, the bedroom suites are the most beautiful and relaxing, with extremely comfortable beds and magazine-like decor... We had 4 double rooms in the main part of the building, each one decorated to a very high level and extremely comfortable. The views from the rooms at the back, over the river Nore, were special. The hostess had a very warm welcome for us, and went out of her way to help us enjoy our family trip, not... More

We spent a wonderful and oh so memorable significant wedding anniversary with our children and grandchildren in Ballyduff House in September. What a fantastic house in which to build great memories for all of us - and our murder mystery evening was so much fun! But one of the special memories is the very warm welcome we received from Bred... More
