I cannot praise this hotel enough. It's always been a favourite of mine, so much so that I opted to have my wedding there just last month. We also had a family celebrration there a few years ago, and each time the food, the staff, the service, the cleanliness, and the surroundings just do not disappoint. Many of our wedding... More

we have just stayed for 8 nights in a two bed lodge. First impressions were great lodge very modern and spacious. Surprised lodges seemed a distance from actual hotel and took us a while to become accustomed to it. We brought our own bikes luckily as they seemed scarce at the hotel. Kids loved kids club and never wanted to... More

We stayed in the self catering Lodges for seven nights during June 2014. This was our second time staying in self catering accommodation at the Castlemartyr Resort and we enjoyed it very much. The lodge that we stayed in had two bedrooms, both en suite, and is a relatively spacious modern house. The accommodation is managed by Natural Retreats and... More

I have been forced to stay in a few Golf Hotels. Usually you will find they quietly crush your soul with the spirit of the Golfist lack of imagination. I hate the whole 'culture' of Golf, so I was pleasantly reassured that although CastleMartyr has substantial golfing grounds, it is not dominated by its association. The approach to the Hotel... Castlemartyr is a fantastic resort. One thing that makes it so great is that it's suitable for all. Family, couples, friends, young and old. The facilities are fantastic and the food was great. We ate everywhere available, clubhouse nice and relaxed, Italian was very good and the bell tower was the best in my opinion. The spa was lovely, my... More

Attended a wedding here. It was unbelievable. Probably the best bed I have ever slept in. Was very comfortable, with loads of little luxurious extras throughout the room. The food served at the wedding was second to non!

This is a very nice hotel with ALL the modern conveniences...But little kids everywhere. 2 to 3 month olds crying in the bar, 4 to 7 year olds running around in the bar like it is a play room and it is a beautiful bar made for intimate conversations but not when it is a nursery. The restaurants were all... More

Though we live only 20 miles from Castlemartyr, it felt more like 2000, so relaxing and refreshing was our 2 night break Warm Irish welcome, smiling staff, beautifully appointed room greeting card from manager, chocolate dipped strawberries , absolute tranquility at night, long walks, calming spa treatments-what more could you ask for!! Other reviewers have commented on the long walk... More

Dear Lilan D, It's great to see such a wonderful honest review on this forum. We really do try so hard to create a magical moment at least once for all our guests during their stay here, whether it be chocolate dipped strawberries or a beautiful sunset! We can arrange almost anything and nothing is too much trouble. I am... More
