Paul and Georgiana Keane have developed a private island that includes a working farm, gardens, water sports and several self-catering options. We are 2 couples who shared a 2 bedroom "cottage" in the courtyard. The accomodations were wonderful - we had plenty of room, the kitchen area was fully equipped, bedrooms comfortable, a cozy wood stove in the living room; it was a treat to wander around the acres and enjoy the gardens and woodlands. Among the amenities are a full-size pool, a large video library and laundry facilities.
Internet is not available in the cottages but they offer guests time on their office computer to check email.
We were there for 3 days and wish it could have been longer. Delightful people to talk to, very helpful staff and a marvelous location about half way between Skibbereen and Baltimore.
