We truly enjoyed our stay at Amberleigh House, and Thelma and Michael made us feel right at home. From our window in our upstairs bedroom we could look out on to Cobh Harbour, where Titanic once sat over 100 years ago. What peaceful and love place to stay, in a world of such profound naval history. Bob & Jean http://frametoframe.ca/2013/09/cobh-town-visit-village-profound-maritime-history-rms-titanic/

one night stay in Cobh at Amberleigh House. Beautiful location, large room with comfortable bed in a really interesting older home, good breakfast and friendly host. However, no signage or house numbers on the outside was rather troublesome as it made it difficult to determine if we were in the correct place. Even when going to the door noone answered... More

Location Amberleigh house is perfectly located just a 5 min. walk from the waterside and town centre. Yet very remote and calm with a wonderful view over bay and harbour. Rooms Big, clean, pretty furnished and bright rooms, cosy bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast Wonderful, veggie version spontaneously prepared, a nice breakfast room. Thelma and Michael were great hosts and helpful about the area, the town and Cobh History. I would recommend this B&B to all.

Amberleigh House harks back to c. 1835, and is vividly decorated with an array of art and brightly painted walls inside. All of the guest rooms are upstairs, and ours had a great view over Cobh harbour. The beds are most comfortable and the shower isn't a shower, it's a monsoon! Your host Michael isn't quite that old, but his... More

Our daughter had made all our reservations for us and both I and my husband felt this was the best of our 4 B and B's. I personally loved the quiet street and it was an easy walk to be in the downtown/harbor area. Michael assured us that he would cook us a wonderful breakfast (his wife was traveling) and... More

Staying at Amberleigh House for 1 week was most enjoyable. My room was very comfortabl;e, and had a superb view over Cobh Harbour towards Spike Island and Haulbowline. The full Irish breakfast was hearty, and set me up for the whole day!! The hospitality was superb - nothing was too much trouble. I should like to return for another holiday... More

First we would like to say "THANK YOU" for welcoming us into your home. Michael greeted us with a very warm welcome, after showing us to our room he offered to help with our luggage which was more then we expected & very thoughtful. We had a room with a great view of the bay & it also over looked... More

Amberleigh House provides everything that a great B&B should... attractive, comfortable rooms, an excellent breakfast, fantastic location, and the friendly attention and service that separate B&B's from other forms of lodging. Amberleigh House is situated a few hundred feet above the harbor in Cobh. It is on a quiet street, but just a couple of minutes walk from the heart... More
