We spent several nights here in December whilst visiting family in Cobh. The location is very central - the views from the restaurant where breakfast is served are quite wonderful - a lovely relaxing start to the day. The architecture and furnishings in the common areas of the hotel are superb, from the magnificent staircase to the wonderful old organ... More

We spent Christmas in Cobh and were treated to the Commodore afternoon tea. This is 10 euros and includes smoked salmon, egg and ham sandwiches. These were made to order and the very obliging waitress took note of requests like no mayo etc. The individual scones and cakes were very well presented and tasted delicous. Unlimited tea or coffee really... More

The hotel is in an ideal location close to all the amenities. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but are in need of a refurbishment. The windows of the Bedroom need an extensive cleaning. Car parking facilities are very limited for the Hotel if you don't want to pay for the Parking on the Street. The car-park that the residents... More

Good value lunch in the hotel restaurant. Generous staff with polite service and helpful enquiring nature. Elegant hotel and interesting images on the wall of the titanic history which sailed from Queenstown.

The Commodore was a great hotel once but sadly it needs capital and a facelift when conditions make this feasible. The staff do a valiant job to keep the guests happy but have an uphill task. The rooms and the public areas are clean and the hotel is well situated. It is not expensive so it is quite adequate for... More

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting relatives on the 6th December, 2014. Given a warm welcome at reception and was upgraded to a sea view room. Really pleased with the room, lovely comfy bed, nice and clean and for the money absolutely no complaints. Yes the building is very old and in places it shows but you cannot beat... More

When visiting, Cobh Commodore hotel is the place to stay. It is right in the middle of Cobh, across from Titanic Museum. If you happen to have ocean facing room, you can watch sun rise from your room. You can’t get a better location than this hotel. The Cathedral is right behind Commodore, it is a short walk from hotel.... More
