The hotel is located at the promenade and it is in located between the train station and the village (both less than 5min walking with luggage). The building is an old big house very well maintained with an old style including a piano to give some character. A good and quiet common area is present between different floors allowing to... More

Dear reviewer, Thank you for your review and your feedback. The Commodore Hotel was built in 1854 and at the time was one of Ireland’s first purpose built hotels. It’s design is reflective of that time and the mezzanine lounge, with wifi, is a popular area for guests to sit down and relax. The hotel bar is very popular with... More

Dear reviewer, Thank you kindly for your review and you enjoyed your stay and experienced the old world charm of privately owned property. We are delighted that you availed of the upgrade to a sea-view room. I agree that it is worth that extra few euro to overlook, which is disputably, the second largest natural harbour in the world, only... More

Only stayed for one night. Large room at back of hotel. Had trouble finding room as numbers indicated it was on one floor however it turned out to be down a staircase!! Confusing! . Room appeared to be on a slant and damp patches on ceiling. Very dated. Still it was clean and served a purpose. Parking is a nightmare... More

My Husband and I, my sister and my friends spent a weekend in The Commodore Hotel, we had a wonderful time. This is our third time to return to the warm welcome from all the staff. Our rooms had recently been decorated and the colour scheme was very tasteful. As always the food was excellent. We always find The Hotel... More

This is a hotel that has seen better days. It is worn down and old fashioned, but is has charm. It is really like going back 30 or perhaps 50 years in time. However it is not a terrible experience it is more fascinating. And they charge decent prices, There is a Wifi network that works in some but not all... More

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. The Commodore Hotel, one of Irelands first purpose built hotels, dates back to 1854 it is unfortunate that design and interior did not appeal to your taste. Throughout its existence its owners and staff are very conscience of maintaining the unique features of the buildings whilst keeping up... More

Was amazed at how bad this hotel was considering the reviews that were written up for it. There were two good things about this hotel. The views and the staff. Everything else was very poor. No parking, only on the street and you have to get up at 10 the following morning to pay for street parking by the hour.... More

The hotel is literally right on the water, very central, and could not be more pleasant or comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Cobh (pronounced "Cove") and it is well worth staying here. The hotel restaurant was also great and reasonably priced. We were in Ireland/Northern Ireland for 14 nights and stayed at a total of 10... More

Dear reviewer, Thank you for taking the time to write your review about our hotel. I agree that the car park at present, even though it is fully functional, does require some investment,. This is something that we are planning to do in the summer of this year. We are very fortunate with the location of the hotel, overlooking Cork... More
