Stayed in Commodore hotel. Room fairly basic but clean and fantastic value. Great location right in front of the sea. Staff lovely. Had bar food with my little boy. We both ate fish, home-made chips and salad. Really fresh, well presented and cooked to perfection. Excellent!! It was as good as any of my favourite resturants. Definitely worth a visit.... More

Its a home from Home from the first moment. Lovely warm athmosphere with the friendliest of staff. The food is especially good and the rooms have spectacular views. Leave the windows open as you read in bed and see the most amazing ships pass by as the sun goes down over the islands in the background. A Walk around the... More

The first room we were given on the third floor had obvious water damage and what appeared to be mold behind the wall paper. The staff were helpful and friendly and got us another room. This room was slightly larger. The beds creaked and groaned. It was a most uncomfortable sleep. The floor was slanted, and when I leaned on... More

I've visited this hotel for lunch on a couple of occasions over the years. The food was always very good. Well presented, tasty and not too expensive. On the minus side, the hotel decor is dated due to the fact that the hotel is very, very old, and, as far as I'm aware the building has a preservation order on... More

First of all, the hotel made a mess of our booking! My wife booked by phone and stated that we required a double and single room for 3 people and was quoted a price. She asked was the price correct and was assured it was. Two weeks prior to when we were due to arrive, and being in the area,... More

We decided to tour Ireland for a few days; stopping at Cobh for a night and onto then onto Waterford. We booked The Commodore Hotel for a night. The hotel itself is right on the quay with a view of Haulbowline Island. On arrival, we were quickly checked in by a lady. I had asked about parking and she told me... More

The room was very 'tired'. All around the window and frame was very dirty. The view was of various machinery. Breakfast was average with cheerless staff. It was a bonus having the car parking facility.

Old fashioned shabby charm .We had a large front facing comfortable room, ample breakfast choice and parking a short distance away in a reserved area . The Cobh Heritage Centre was ashort distance away.

Recently when working in Cobh I had to find accommodation due to my job being extended, I walked in off the street to enquire about room availability and my first impression was not great. However during my stay the service was great, the food was good, the staff were excellent I really could not fault the hotel in any way... More
