I got lost coming here but I was exhausted from a long drive I got there and had to move my car cause I was parked in the cab parking but I found good parking right away. I was a little annoyed at how rude the man was that I rented the room from and kind of weird the entrance... More

Wow. What a lovely surprise. We needed somewhere for the night. Thank god we landed here. It was the cheapest in town. We got a lovely bedroom the décor was fab. The bathroom was huge. Very comfy bed. The food was good also. 5 minutes walk from everywhere. Really glad we wondered in. The lady of the house was such... More

It was pouring rain when we arrived in Cobh. The Gilbert's was easy to find and the staff got us checked in and to our rooms quickly. The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Lovely big room and a huge shower. Very clean and modern with a 4 post bed too. Opposite the Titanic experience and the boat to Spike Island (Recommended). Staff and breakfast very pleasant. Would stay again.

Location was excellent and size of room (no. 2) was great. Also great to have iron and board in the room. Wet room bathroom is good for anyone with restricted mobility. Windows nice and big and view onto the square. However if you've young children it would not be suitable as they are casement and open up from the floor.... More

To be truthful we never intended to stay here, it was a Saturday night and we could not find suitable accommodation in Cork. We booked at short notice based upon a recommendation on this site. Only 4 rooms which were exceptionally clean and well appointed, no cash spared on fittings and shower room of the highest standard and would not... More

Stayed here one night, it is necessary to 'check in' at the restaurant. First impression was restaurant was a bit untidy outside but OK inside, the entrance to the rooms, round the side, was pretty awful and would colour most people's opinion of the whole place, our room however was modern well furnished and the shower room was great with... We stayed at Gilbert's for one night! Went to the restaurant downstairs to check in and were taken upstairs to our room (by a true gentleman, I might add!) The gentlemen was kind enough to walk us right into the room and would not let my wife carry a bag (and it was heavy!) When we walked into our room,... More
