We stayed for a night in Summerhill. It is a lovely house, spotlessly clean with everything you'd need. The breakfast was great,it kept us going till evening. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. It was great value and we'd stay again when visiting the area.

Me and two friends went on a biking trip in west cork and stayed here for one night. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Con is a gentle, wholly accommodating and friendly host who lets you decide whats best for the group. Rooms were perfect for our nerds and breakfast left me full for... More

I stayed at Summer Hill B&B for 3 days during my first visit to Ireland. Summer Hill is a beautiful purpose built B&B with lots of natural timer inside the house which feels pleasant and cosy. The host Cornelius O'Sullivan was very friendly and helpful and gave me warm welcome. I felt that he loves his work of showing hospitality... More

Unfortunately I think we caught the owner on a bad day. We arrived in the pouring rain and when the door was eventually pried open we were shown to our room with hardly a word uttered. I honestly felt like a naughty child being sent to my room! This said the room was well appointed and comfortable with plenty of... More

We stayed here in August whilst on a cycling holiday in Cork and Kerry. We found it more or less by accident and it was the nicest B&B we stayed in on our two week trip, in fact we liked it and Castletownbere so much we stayed an extra night! The place is a purpose built B&B so it does... More

My partner liked this place; I was less impressed and didn't sleep well, but couldn't fault the hard work that the hosts invested in making the guests comfortable and we were grateful to get a B&B during a festival period - breakfast was good. For those who don't know, Castletownbere is not a tourist town; it's a fishing port -... More

We stayed here from June 20 to 23. On arrival we were welcomed with tea. We could choose our room and decided for a triple on the first floor (nr. 6). The heat of the day –we were in the middle of a genuine Irish heat wave!- had much less effect on the room temperature than we feared, although the... More

We found this b&b purely by luck but we were so glad we did. The rooms were clean and the owners were so friendly and helpful, they definitely went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again
