My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights here while trekking in Cork. We had a lovely stay. Our host Mary was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. The rooms were very clean with a lovely bed but the star of the show is without doubt the breakfast. By far the best b&b breakfast we have ever had. The... More

The place could be an absolute gem but unfortunately it is not taken care of properly. The room we had was damp and smelled moldy. The shower (walls) were dirty and so was the carpet. Did not feel good to walk barefoot in there. The b&b lies beautifully overlooking the bay and the round room where breakfast is served is... More

I booked a room here months in advance. Turned up, discovered I was the only guest. That was okay, it was early in the season (mid-May). Was asked about breakfast time the next morning - we agreed on 8am. Up I get and by 9am I was out of there: the owners had completely forgotten they had a guest. Sleepy,... More

Stayed here during the summer and we were very happy with the B&B and the service. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and our room was presented nicely with stunning views. The location is superb, the food was excellent and I would definately recommend it.

Myself and my partner came to castletownbere in august to visit an old friend and we were pleasantly surprised with a warm welcome, our room was lovely with spectacular views that disconnected us from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We thought the breakfast was nice and the young girl i think her name was una ( appologese if... More

car park and outside of house scruffy and uncared for. the carpets and paint work were tired with damp spots. it took a while to realise that this is not a b&b in the strict sense as it is not the owners home and obviously empty and unheated a lot of the time. adequate but not recommended.

Because they were quiet when we stayed we got the rooms with the best views. Beautiful Views! Woke up to Castletownbere on a beautiful August morning. Tim and Mary were very friendly and laid back. They served up a delicious Full Irish Breakfast in the morning.

I came on the bus from Cork City. Mary who runs the place together with her husband Tim had given me the advice to tell the busdriver where I wanted to go, so that I could get off the bus very close to the place. The restaurant is closed now, but the B&B continues. It was a warm welcome, they... More

The Cottage Heights is a wonderful B&B/Restaurant. We have stayed here on several occasions while visiting Castletownbere, this summer however the restaurant part does not seem to be running which is a bit of a disappointment. The rooms of this B&B are all en-suite, well kept and very comfortable. The Breakfast menu is a bit limited but still has nice... More

Originally we had booked at seabreeze but something went wrong with our reservation. The owner of seabreeze was so helpful to book a room at Cottage heights. The reception was correct but not as warm as other B&B's we have been to. The room has a great ocean view view with much space, clean but not well maintained. The bed was... More
