The best thing it's its location at the town centre. Secondly the breakfast is quite good and the service helful and kind. But, the overall feeling is a waste house. Our room was dark, with many things to repair:humidity in the walls, doors of armchairs broken and we had three spiders on the room. If you want to be in... More

On my first visit to Bantry almost two years ago I stayed in the Hostel near the beach...BE WARNED.. The lady who runs it is EVIL and ruined my stay.. So, obviously, I was happy to try somewhere new on my next trip. I was recommended Atlanta Guestouse by a friend who has been staying here regularly for years. I... More

Stayed at Atlanta House while attending a wedding locally. Great central location comfortable if slightly old fashioned decor all rooms do have en suites, however the breakfast was excellent and the location perfect for visiting Bantry town and local area.Hosts very congenial with good local knowledge.Would reccomend

A friend we travelled with booked for us as 2 couples. We were on motorbikes and were able to keep the bikes in a secure yard at the rear, which we appreciated, however that did not give a good initial impression as the yard was full of rubbish and you saw a rusty, poor quality and unusable fire escape. The... More

In the Lonely Planet book so went with it. Really wanted to stay in Durras but not organised enough. Phone coverage poor around this and forgot... 30 euro single room... dated decor but not bad for money. Breakfast served in cafe... good choice... Overall would have stayed in good B&B instead if organised... Be warned V dated.....

Everything was 'OK'. Decor very dated as already mentioned. However, we ordered brekfast for 8.30am and found ourselves up befoer the owner! Having to switch the lights on in the dining room for breakfast is not one I have encountered before. An average stay.

We stayed at Atlanta House while travelling through Ireland last month and came upon this guest house in the centre of Bantry. The furnishings were a little dated but the room was very comfortable, en suite/tv etc. The price was very reasonable for the stay and included a generous full Irish breakfast. What I really liked about this guest house... More
